PJP2 PROLOG 160215 - Leviticus 9:7 & John 1:29-34

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160215 - Leviticus 9:7 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Moses said to Aaron, “Come to The Altar And Sacrifice your sin Offering And your burnt Offering And Make Atonement for yourself and the people; Sacrifice The Offering That Is For the people And Make Atonement for them, As The Lord Has Commanded.”

Three Points I Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing with me this morning.  In the POWS above (Leviticus 9:7) - I Hear Him Focusing me on His Inspired Word - Atonement....or as I am proved to do to better understand this Concept....At-One-Ment....By definition, Atonement is the 'satisfaction, or reparation for a wrong or injury; making amends; Reconciliation of Relationship.

That makes total sense - when we read through God's First Instructions (GFIs) to His Chosen children, He Provided them a Visible/Palpable Means to Grasp that through their sin they had damaged the Relationship between YAHWEH and themselves.  Yet, In God's GRACE, He Gave them, not a means to 'earn' back His Reconciliation, BUT a way to ATONE, make amends, for the wrong, and Be Right Again in Relationship with Him.

A Second Concept I am picking up on is this is, if you will, God's GFI to our Lord Jesus as we find in Hebrews Chapter 7, where our Lord Jesus is Named our High Priest in the Order of Melchizedek.  (Check out Genesis 14:17-18 as well for our introduction to Melchizedek/jaj)....Anyway, I find it interesting that IF we Consider our Lord Jesus to Be our Eternal High Priest, He has, Once and For All Offered God's Perfect Atonement for us with His Sacrifice upon His Cross, Sealed by His Resurrection, which Defeated sin Eternally.

The Third (and last) Concept for today - Our Lord Jesus IS God's Perfect Eternal Passover Lamb Offered for us as God's Perfect and Eternal Atonement to pay the Once for All Price of our disobedience.  Thus Opening God's Bridge to us for Eternal Reconciliation.  Check out these POWS from John 1:29-34....(NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."The next day John saw Jesus Coming toward him And Said, 'Look, The Lamb of God, Who Takes Away (Makes Atonement for) the sin of the world!  This Is The ONE I Meant When I Said, ‘A Man Who Comes after me Has Surpassed me Because He Was Before me.’  I myself Did Not Know Him, BUT The Reason I came Baptizing with water Was That He Might Be Revealed to Israel.'. Then John gave this Testimony: 'I saw The Spirit Come Down from heaven As A Dove And Remain On Him.  And I myself Did Not Know Him, BUT The ONE Who Sent me To Baptize with Water Told me, ‘The Man On Whom you See The Spirit Come Down And Remain Is The ONE Who Will Baptize With The Holy Spirit.’  I Have Seen And I Testify That This Is God’s Chosen ONE.'”....

My Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy and Grace.  Lord Jesus, we Praise You that You are our Eternal High Priest.  We Thank You for Your Once and For All Sacrifice for us.  Holy Spirit, Help us to better Grasp Your Understanding of our Reconciliation and Right Relationship with You.  Father God, Teach us to Share Your Love, Light, Mercy and Grace that all Mankind might be Drawn to You and Your Saving Love.  We Lift Up our Prayers in Your Holy Name....Amen/Amen....jaj
