PJP2 THANKS TEXT 160223 Luke 6:36 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Be Merciful, Just As your Father is Merciful."
I am so Very Thankful for The Holy Spirit's Inspired Sharing with us in regards to The Characteristics of God The Father. As we see in Luke 6:36, our Heavenly Father is Merciful. What a Blessing of Assurance and Encouragement that we too can be Merciful, as we Follow In His Steps. Mercy can indeed present a significant challenge. I know all too well that my old self, the self living for me and me alone....that old self seeks revenge for any and every wrong the old self 'believes' or perhaps perceives has been rained down upon the old me. But as we Review our Lord Jesus' Life Among us, IF anyone had justification to seek revenge....YET we witness, during our Lord's Crucifixion, He Says in Prayer (Luke 23:34 (ESV)/emphasis added/jaj)...."Father Forgive them, For they Know Not what they do."....May we, as well, Follow His Lead....Blessings to you and yours/jaj
