PJP2 PROLOG 160224 PROLOG Focus Luke 7:14-17....

Psalm 35:18 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."I Will Thank You in the great congregation; In the mighty throng I Will Praise You."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160224 - Luke 7:14-17 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Then Jesus went up And Touched the funeral bier on which they were carrying him (the widow of Nain's son) upon, and the bearers stood still.  Jesus Said, 'Young man, I Say To you, Get Up!'  The dead man Sat Up And Began to Talk, And Jesus Gave him Back To his mother.  They were All Filled With Awe And Praised God.  'A Great Prophet Has Appeared Among us,' they said. 'God Has Come To Help His people.'  This News About Jesus Spread throughout Judea and the surrounding country."....

As I have shared in previous PJP2 PROLOGs, I'm never really certain what/where The Holy Spirit is going to Guide me as open the fresh, blank page to write.  Today, indeed, is one of those days I am more clueless than usual.  Luke Chapter 7 is perhaps one of my favorite Chapters in His Word.  In Luke 7 we find: - The Centurion's servant; - The Widow of Nain & son; - JB's doubt/JC's Verification and Encouragement; - JC's ID of JB; - JC's Summation of our lost world.  I am somewhat surprised that I'm not doing this entry on The Centurion, BUT I know I've written on him before, and am certain I will again.  However, forgive me, for I'm straying from the Point.....

Thus, here is what I'm Hearing The Holy Spirit Share with me this morning with regards to His Story from Luke 7:14-17 - Isn't it fascinating to ponder on who our Lord Jesus Healed?  So for example, here we find Jesus and His disciples, traveling from Capernaum to Nain (a town Southwest from Capernaum) when they come upon a funeral procession leaving Nain.  Now think about how many funeral processions we have witnessed in our own lives.  There's those that we have been a part of, due to the one who's crossed over being either a relative, or friend of the family, or perhaps even a dignitary that we admired.  Then there are the processions we have no idea who the family, or the person who has gone beyond.  I can readily admit I've not thought much about it when such a caravan passes me by.  Yet, I am Hearing The Spirit Say that God The Father Does Indeed pay attention to Every Funeral Procession.  For us, these are days of sorrow.  As we Witness via our Lord Jesus' approach, For Him, He Transforms them to Days of Rejoicing and Praise.

Two more short thoughts - I have to chuckle that when the Widow of Nain's son returns, his setting up, I am sure, got the mourners' attention - BUT the part that makes me smile is Luke's Recording, "he Began to Talk"....I'll be Luke the Physician was dearly wanting to examine the fellow to see what was going on....yet what The Spirit Inspired him to note was that the man sat up and started talking.....This may well be the first recorded instance of someone from beyond the grave coming back to share what they had seen!  (Note to self:  There's a book in there to be written.) Oh how I wish we could hear what the man's telling his no longer grieving mom.  My gut is it would start out something like, "Mom, you won't believe the Story I have to tell you, and Who I met as I was walking up to these huge gates made of pearls and gold and....."  I have to think, when we all finally make that last mortal journey, we too will have an opportunity to say, "You won't Believe The Story....Here I am".....

Last point, True then, True Today...."God Has Come to Help His people."  Just as our Lord Jesus came over 2,000 years ago to Help the Ancients.  He Is Still Here Helping us this very moment.

My Prayer for us today would simply be, Lord Jesus, Thank You that You do Take Note of us and the happenings in our Lives.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, for Your Word of Life and Encouragement, even during our most dark times.  Father God, Open our Hearts to You, and Help us To Reflect that You Have Come and You Will Help Your children.  In Your Precious and Holy Name we Pray....Amen/Amen/jaj.....Blessings to you and yours
