PJP2 PROLOG POST 160227 - Luke 18:35-43 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."As Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard the crowd going by, he asked What Was Happening. They told him, 'Jesus of Nazareth Is Passing By.” He Called out, 'Jesus, Son of David, Have Mercy On me!' Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, BUT he Shouted All The More, 'Son of David, Have Mercy On me!” Jesus Stopped And Ordered the man To Be Brought To Him. When he came near, Jesus Asked him, 'What Do you Want Me To Do For you?' 'Lord, I Want To See,' he replied. Jesus Said To him, 'Receive your Sight; your Faith Has Healed you.' Immediately he Received his Sight And Followed Jesus, Praising God. When All the people Saw It, they Also Praised God."....
So many Concepts I Hear The Holy Spirit laying out there for us to ponder upon. There's our Lord Jesus, on His Mission, BUT Ever Willing to Hear our Cry for Help and Mercy. There's the blind beggar, keenly aware of his surroundings. Still focused on the blind beggar, being Open to Asking for Mercy - even when told to stand down, he was persistent in his Asking. Then there is Jesus, then and now, Asking the blind beggar, as well as Asking us: "What Do you Want Me To Do For you?" At first glance (no pun intended) seems so obvious what the blind beggar would be wanting our Lord Jesus to do - Restore to him his sight. Yet, another Concept The Holy Spirit is Sharing, He Is Telling me He Wants us To Be Certain What Sight is it we need Restored. What Good is it for us to See IF we do Not Open ourselves to Change and Follow Him? But, Praise God, the blind beggar Reveals to us via his honest reply, and his Rock-Solid Faith in Him Who Created man's Sight, that Indeed our Faith In Him will Not Disappoint. Our Lord's Truth, in Action, Does Ever Set us Free. Lastly, our Response to Him and His Working Within us is Still The Same as then - We Rejoice in His Mercy and Grace and we Praise God The Son, The Holy Spirit and God The Father for His Love.
My prayer for us today - Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Loving Mercy and Grace. Holy Spirit, Thank You for Your Encouragement for us to Shout Out to You, regardless of the surrounding world's lack of understanding Why we do. Father God, Thank You for Your Love and that You Still Ask us What we really want, which is to Ever See You In our Lives. Lord Jesus Please Continue to Strengthen our Faith and to Ever Reflect Your Love in All we Say, Think and Do as we Follow In Step with You, our Lord and Savior. In Your Precious Name we Pray.....Amen/Amen/jaj....
Blessings/jaj
