PJP2 PROLOG - 161130 - PROLOG Focus: Daniel 6:10, 16, 21-23........GOAL -
Daniel 4:3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."How Great Are HIS Signs, How Mighty HIS Wonders! HIS Kingdom IS An Everlasting Kingdom, And HIS Dominion Endures from generation to generation."....
PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161130 - GOAL - Daniel 6:10, 16, 21-23 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...." When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees Three Times A Day And PRAYED And Gave Thanks Before his God, As he Had Done Previously.....Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared to Daniel, 'May your God, Whom you Serve Continually, Deliver you!'....Then Daniel said to the king, 'O king, live forever! My God Sent His Angel And Shut the lions' mouths, and they have Not harmed me, BECAUSE I was found Blameless Before Him; and also before you, O king, I Have Done No harm.' Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and NO kind of harm was found on him, BECAUSE he Had TRUSTED In his God."....
The Story of Daniel in the lion's den is a fairly well known Bible Story.
Perhaps what get's lost in the 'knowing' is the what and why of Daniel....What led to Daniel begin tossed to the lions? Why was he chucked in as Lion Chow?
For a full-account, recommend you check out the Book of Daniel, Chapter 6. BUT in a nutshell (summarized by the PJP2 PROLOG POST 161130 POWS - Daniel 6:10, 16, 21-23)....King Darius was conned by his 119-122 appointed satraps and administrators (S/ADs' Task Force 122)....(JAJ Note: Daniel, the Senior Administrator was NOT included in S/AD's TF 122 discussion with King Darius) to issue an edict essentially declaring King Darius as a 'god' for 30-days. Daniel, YAHWEH's Prophet, does not comply with King Darius' decree. Daniel continues to be OBEDIENT to God The Father. Appears on the surface to be a 'catch 22' moment for Daniel. His enemies use King Darius' ill-issues decree to entrap Daniel 'breaking the law'. Thus King Darius has no choice but to carry out the punishment.....spend the night in the Lions' Den.
BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH) - God's GOAL outweighs any and all plans of man. Daniel survives the night (as we see in today's POWS).
My Point, in line with GOAL (Give OBEDIENCE, Attain LIFE) - pretty straightforward - Daniel Remained Faithful to God, regardless of the world's disillusioned decrees, and Results: God The Father Kept Daniel SAFE from all harm....Daniel walked out of the Lions' Den literally without a scratch. (Oh, by-the-way, his enemies, the S/ADs' Task Force 122, well, suffice to say the score was Lions 122....S/ADs' 0!)
So.....regardless of our circumstances, or the mountains, or storms, that are looming on our near horizons - Let us Take Heart from Daniel; Let us Learn from him that OBEDIENCE to The Lord and His Leading will Ever and Always Result in our Eternally Entering His GRACE without a scratch.....
My Prayer for us today.....Psalm 80:3, 14-19 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Ever Restoring us. O God; Please, Continue to Let Your Face Shine, That By Your Grace we May Be Saved! Holy Spirit, Once More Turn Again, O God of Hosts, towards us and Lead us In Your Way! Father God, as You Look Down Upon us From Your Holy Heaven, Thank You as You See and Have Regard For us, Your Grafted Branches into Your Vine, Your Son, our Lord Jesus. Lord Jesus, Ever Be With us. I am Thankful for our Lord's Promise and His Faithfulness To His Promise to us. I am also Thankful for His Straightforward Transparency of His GOAL Towards us. God's Promise to us is Based Fully On His LOVE for us.

Lord Jesus, You and You Alone Have Pardoned our iniquities. O Holy Spirit, By Your GRACE, You Have Passed Over our transgression. Father God, You and You Alone Have Adopted us, as Your The Remnant Of Your Inheritance. Lord Jesus, Thank You! For By Your Life, Sacrifice and Resurrection, You Have Taken on God The Father's Anger and Wrath on our Behalf. Holy Spirit, Thank You, for Your Intercession Aids us. Lord Jesus, Thank You for Being Merciful to us. Holy Spirit, Thank Your for Continuing to Intercede and Shower God The Father's Mercy upon us. O Father God, In You and You Alone does our Souls Take Refuge. Lord Jesus, May we Come To You, Like a chick runs to their Mother Hen, May we Hide in The Shadow Of Your Wings. Holy Spirit, especially during these days of challenge, tension, tragedy and disaster, May we Be Covered by Your Protection until the storms of destruction pass by. PJP2 “7 PRAISES” - 161130 - GOAL
GOAL: Give Obedience, Attain LIFE
Psalm 8:4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."What is man That You Are Mindful of him, And the son of man That You Care for him?"
This Christmas Season brings to my noggin' the above Question (Psalm 8:4), Inspired by The Holy Spirit and recorded by David. In a follow-up question, one might ask, "Lord, what's Your GOAL with regards to having a personal relationship with us, with me?"
The Holy Spirit, by this line of questioning, brought up the thought on God's GOAL (Purpose) via His Sending His Son, our Lord Jesus, via His First Advent (as well as Preparing us for our Lord's Second Advent as well).....
So Ponder with me if you will.....
From Genesis 1 through Revelation 22 our Lord Consistently Shares with us that IF we Give our Full OBEDIENCE to Him, His WORD and His Guidance in our Lives, THEN He Blesses us (that we Might Be His Blessing to others). IF we are DISOBEDIENT, THEN we suffer the consequences of our selfishness and sinfulness.
BUT we sons/daughters of Adam have a tough time with this very straightforward Concept. We've pursued our own agenda (at least I know I have), 'creating' our own 'godly laws' (even under the camo of being based on God's Holy Law of LIFE)......The Lord Calls our hand on this legalistic effort.....
1 Samuel 15:22 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And Samuel said, 'Has The Lord As Great Delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As In OBEYING The Voice Of The Lord? BEHOLD, To OBEY IS Better than sacrifice, And To LISTEN than the fat of rams."....
So shouldn't our personal GOAL be one of OBEDIENCE (which involves our FAITH and TRUST in a True and Faithful God The Father, His Son, our Lord Jesus, and His Holy Spirit dwelling within us)?
Ok, so, once more, what would God's GOAL be, or, what's The Result of our OBEDIENCE to God's GOAL with a Personal Relationship with us?
Well, as you would expect, His Holy Spirit Summarizes His Answer by Inspiring Paul to Record the following.....
.....Romans 5:15, 17, 19 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT The FREE GIFT Is NOT like the trespass. For IF many died through one man's trespass, Much More Have The GRACE Of God And The FREE GIFT By The GRACE Of That One Man Jesus Christ Abounded For many. For IF, Because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, Much More Will those who Receive The Abundance Of GRACE And The FREE GIFT Of Righteousness Reign In LIFE THROUGH The One Man Jesus Christ. For As By the one man's DISOBEDIENCE the many were made sinners, SO By The One Man's OBEDIENCE The many Will Be Made RIGHTEOUS."....
In a WORD.....OUTSTANDING!!!!
Thus my overall PJP2 Prayer for us today would be to simply Share His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD as Recorded by Paul in his Letter to the Philippians.....
Philippians 3:1-3, 7-14, 16 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)...."Finally, my brothers/sisters, Rejoice In The Lord. To Write the same things to you Is No trouble to me And Is Safe for you. Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we Are The Circumcision, who Worship By The Holy Spirit of God And Glory In Christ Jesus And Put NO confidence in the flesh— BUT whatever gain I had, I Counted As Loss For The Sake of Christ. Indeed, I Count Everything As Loss BECAUSE Of The Surpassing WORTH Of Knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. BUT ONE THING I Do: Forgetting what lies behind And Straining Forward To What Lies Ahead, I PRESS ON Toward The GOAL For The Prize Of The UPWARD CALL Of God IN Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."This MYSTERY IS That the Gentiles ARE Fellow Heirs, Members Of The Same Body, And Partakers Of The Promise IN Christ Jesus THROUGH The Gospel."....
As I've been Pondering the question and thought as to Why God The Father kept Secret His MYSTERY PLAN of Salvation Through His Son, our Lord Jesus' First and Second Advents - The Holy Spirit has hit me with His Revelation that, in essence, He Reveals His MYSTERY and SECRET only when He Knows that we're ready and able to Accept His Revelation.
Further, The Holy Spirit has brought to mind His Reality, as with Sharing Lessons with our children. IF we try to explain, say Quantum Mechanics (which I know little to nothing about by-the-way) to our one-year old child, most likely the concepts would be totally lost. BUT, once our child has reached a certain stage and age, especially if the topic captures their interest, intuition and imagination, well we could very well be sharing a concept with them that God The Father is going to Share an Explosion of Thought Leading towards the Elevation of Understanding of such concept to a New Level.
Likewise With His STORY of GRACE as we start the Journey To Bethlehem once more. I am Finding Each Passing Year, He Shares New Revelation Regards His MYSTERY of our Lord Jesus Being Within us and The Impact His Presence has Upon us, IN, AROUND and THROUGH His Living In our Hearts.
So, My Prayer for us today would be.....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, First I would Thank and Praise You for Your Patience and Focus to Share Your MYSTERY with us at The Very Point You Know us to be prepared. Lord Jesus, I would Ask Your Presence in the recent tragedies that are unfolding across our United States and world. Please, Holy Spirit, Shed Your GRACE upon those who've suffered loss by either violence, or natural catastrophes. Father God, Be With us and Help us to Share Your Revelation and Your MYSTERY, especially with those who Do Not Know You. Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers in Your Holy Name.....Amen and Amen....jaj

United with Him
So, there's 12 Blessings to Ponder and Be Thankful for.
My Prayer of Thanks for us today would be.....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for All Your Blessings in our Lives. Lord Jesus, Ever Remind us By Your LOVE and GRACE, even in the midst of our challenges and earthly loss, You Are With us Every Step, Every Moment, Every Day. Holy Spirit, Make Clear in our Lives These 12 Blessings That You Have Poured upon us. Father God, we Surrender Anew to You our Souls, May we Reflect Your Light, Love, Mercy and Forgiveness in All we Say, Think and Do for You and Your Kingdom. Lord Jesus, in Your Precious Name we Lift Up our Thanks and Prayers....Amen and Amen....jaj

MYSTERY: May Your Son (our Lord Jesus) Teach (us) Eternally (Your) Revelation (and of) You
One of Cindy and I's favorite genre of stories would be a good MYSTERY. She and I like to either read to one another, or listen to audio-books while we drive - helps keep us alert and pass the time. (At present we've been reading Author Louise Penny's 'Inspector Gamache' series.)
And you have to consider one of the Greatest MYSTERY Stories of All Time would be God The Father's PLAN of Salvation, coming through His Son, our Lord Jesus' First Advent. I mean, at least in human thought, how in the world could the birth of an infant, to poor parents, in the middle of back-water occupied Israel ever change the course of human events and history? Indeed a MYSTERY of Grand Proportions!
BUT, His Holy Spirit Inspired God's Prophet, Isaiah, to write.... Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."{YAHWEH Said to Isaiah}....'For MY Thoughts Are NOT your thoughts, Neither Are your ways MY Ways', Declares The Lord. 'For As The Heavens Are Higher Than the earth, SO Are MY Ways Higher Than your ways And MY Thoughts Than your thoughts.'"....
Like all well-written MYSTERY Stories, God The Father Drops Clues Throughout His WORD to us.....Remain at ease, though, I'm not going to belabor this point, for there's a TON of POWS we could review in reference to this fact.
Suffice to say, Let me simply share His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD to Paul, as Recorded in

GPS: God's Provision Sustains
GPS - when we see these three letters today, we immediately recognize that they stand for the Global Positioning System. GPS was originally started as a navigation system for the military. Quickly GPS branched out to be a system used commercially, and now even we common-folk have GPS APPS on our cell-phones, in our transports, even use it for walking from point A to point B.
Interesting as well, as we continue on our month-long journey through PJP2's First Advent Entries, one of the Concepts that The Holy Spirit is laying on my heart is that our Lord Jesus' First Advent had a LOT of 'traveling' involved. There was Mary and Joseph both having to 'travel' some 'roads' alone, as well as together. There was Mary's journey to visit her cousin Martha. There's Mary/Joseph's journey to Bethlehem. Zechariah, John The Baptist (JB)'s Dad, there's his journey through both a visitation of God's Angel, as well as his travels through being mute until JB is born. Mustn't forget to mention the Shepherd's, or the Wisemen/Magi....they also had significant journey's trusting only God's Placing A Star to Light their ways. BUT we'll drill and dwell on these as Christmas 2016 progresses.

Every Step of our LIFE, God The Father Is Providing for us. Direction, Protection, Guidance, Light, BUT Most Importantly LOVE. We can, indeed, TRUST Him and His Every Action in our Lives to Be Based and Wrapped in His LOVE for us. Even His Discipline and His Testing of us is FULLY Intended, in His Best Sense of His WORD, to Bring us Closer to Him, and Aid us in Knowing ever Deeper His LOVE for us.
So, Team, my Overall PJP2 Prayer for us today would simply be, O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Open our Inner Eyes, Heart and Mind to Be Ever Aware of Your GPS Within Every Aspect of our Lives. Lord Jesus, Guide us By Both Your Example during Your First Advent and Your WORD Within us. Holy Spirit, Lead us to Ever Walk In Step With You. PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161127 - LIGHTS - Romans 5:1-5 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Therefore, Since we Have Been Justified By FAITH, we Have PEACE With God THROUGH our Lord Jesus Christ. THROUGH Him we Have Also Obtained Access By FAITH Into This GRACE In Which we Stand, And we REJOICE In HOPE Of The Glory Of God. I must admit, Crew, I am always amazed, each morning, as He Guides me in doing the PJP2 Entries, on how His Holy Spirit puts the PJP2 Package together. We started out today's postings by pondering our FOCUS within those Moments of Solitude, being able to release our daily (even momentary) anxieties and Be Open to His Flooding us with His Peace, His Presence, His GRACE and His Strength.
As we've marched through the rest of the PJP2 7 PRAISES of 161127, we've Heard His Holy Spirit Speak with Regards to God The Father's Heart, His Help and His HOPE.
Now, as we make the last turn for today's PJP2, and head into the home stretch, I Sense His Holy Spirit Ending, via this PROLOG, on a Note of Encouragement and Empowerment.
Indeed, IF we pause to look around us, our news-reports continue to spew out challenging events going on globally - continued unrest within the nations; ongoing rumors of wars; natural disasters (earthquakes; tsunamis; floods; etc)....on and on we can see, hear and read of all these calamities.
BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH).....Romans 5:1-5 Reminds us That He Is With us each and every Step of These Challenging Ways.....

LIGHTS: Living In God's Heart/Help/HOPE in The Son
Gen J and I began to decorate The Johnson Lodge and Retreat Center for Christmas 2016 this weekend. Together we've been putting up the Nativity Scene, Christmas Tree, LIGHTS, External Illumination, Elf-on-the-Shelf (EOTS), etc. Perhaps one of my favorite things to do, once all the decorations et al, have been finalized, is to set quietly and simply look at the LIGHTS. It is such a soothing and peaceful time.
Thus I've been pondering the significance of our Christmas LIGHTS.
The Holy Spirit Shared today's J-ACRONYM with me in response to my mental mulling.....
As I've applied LIGHTS as the Core of today's PJP2 entries, He Guided me towards the POWS included in the PJP2 7 PRAISES.....As for the PJP2 INTRO (below), Colossians 3:1-4 nailed it on a solid FOCUS for us to consider when we have these moments of solitude through our Christmas/New Year Holidays (as well as the rest of the time as well....a Burning Candle, Fireplace Fire, Camp Fire, etc, works well to generate a Cone of Silence as well).....
So.....I'd Pray that His WORD in Colossians 3:1-4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....would be a Gateway to Connection with our Lord Jesus, His Holy Spirit and God The Father as we move forward through our days.....
(Colossians 3:1-4)...."IF Then you Have Been Raised With Christ, SEEK The Things That Are ABOVE, Where Christ Is, Seated At The Right Hand Of God. Set your Minds On Things That Are ABOVE, NOT on things that are on earth. For you Have Died, And your LIFE Is Hidden With Christ In God. WHEN Christ Who Is your LIFE Appears, THEN you Also Will Appear With Him In Glory."....

As I FOCUS on The LIGHTS on our Tree, I can Hear The Spirit Sharing and Drawing me to FOCUS and SEEK "The Things That Are Above". This leads to Hearing our Lord Jesus as He Shares in Matthew 6:33-34 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT SEEK First The Kingdom Of God And His Righteousness, And ALL These Things Will Be Added To you. Therefore Do NOT Be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."....
Pondering on His Truth, His Holy Spirit Reminds me....Psalm 121:2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."My HELP Comes From The Lord, Who Made Heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:2 is His Signpost, in my ponderings, to Consider our Lord Jesus' Promise He Gave in John Chapters 14-15-16, as He Tells us He Will Send us a HELPER, which is none-other Than His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit Inspired the writer of Hebrews to encapsulate this well with.... Hebrews 13:6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."So we Can Confidently say, 'The Lord Is my HELPER; I Will NOT fear; What can man do to me?'”

Psalm 145:1-3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."I Will Extol You, my God And King, And Bless Your NAME Forever And Ever. Every Day I Will Bless You And Praise Your NAME Forever And Ever. Great Is The Lord, And Greatly To Be Praised, And His Greatness IS Unsearchable.'....
PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161126 - SEASONS - Esther 9:31-32 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."That These Days Of Purim Should Be Observed At Their Appointed SEASONS, as Mordecai the Jew and Queen Esther Obligated Them, And As they Had Obligated themselves and their offspring, With Regard to their Fasts and their Lamenting. The command of Esther Confirmed These Practices Of Purim, And It Was Recorded In Writing."....
It really is fascinating to explore the History of a SEASON that we Celebrate. For example the POWS of today's PJP2 PROLOG POST 161126, Esther 9:31-32, are the last two verses of The Book of Esther's 9th Chapter. If you aren't aware of Esther's Story, a fascinating read for certain. (By-the-way, Esther is one of two Books of The BIBLE that share God's Workings within the Lives of two very Unique and Special Women of His WORD {WOW}. Highly encourage you to read Esther and Ruth/jaj)
Anyway, in a thumbnail sketch -
Esther 2:16-17 (ESV)...."And when Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign, the king loved Esther more than all the women, and she won grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti."
Esther 3:1-2, 8-11 (ESV)...."After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman the Agagite, the son of Hammedatha, and advanced him and set his throne above all the officials who were with him. And all the king's servants who were at the king's gate bowed down and paid homage to Haman, for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai did not bow down or pay homage. Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, “There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the peoples in all the provinces of your kingdom. Their laws are different from those of every other people, and they do not keep the king's laws, so that it is not to the king's profit to tolerate them. Esther 4:1, 4, 13-17 (ESV)...."When Mordecai learned all that had been done, Mordecai tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and he cried out with a loud and bitter cry. When Esther's young women and her eunuchs came and told her, the queen was deeply distressed. She sent garments to clothe Mordecai, so that he might take off his sackcloth, but he would not accept them. Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king's palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews. For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Esther 7:3-6, 10 (ESV)...."Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be granted me for my wish, and my people for my request. For we have been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. If we had been sold merely as slaves, men and women, I would have been silent, for our affliction is not to be compared with the loss to the king.” Then King Ahasuerus said to Queen Esther, “Who is he, and where is he, who has dared to do this?” And Esther said, “A foe and enemy! This wicked Haman!” Then Haman was terrified before the king and the queen. So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the wrath of the king abated."
Again, the above is a very shortened version of God's GRACE being Revealed via His Working In Esther (and Mordecai)'s LIVES. BUT, my point, today, is Because of God's GRACE, His children of Israel Celebrate PURIM (Celebrating God's Defeat of evil Haman and his wicked plot to eliminate the Jews from the Persian Empire). PURIM Is a Remembrance of God's GRACE, His Power, His Protection and His Provision for His children.
And thus we Come to our Celebration of Christmas, our Lord Jesus' First Advent to our dying world.....
John 1:9-14 (ESV)...."The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth."

Today's PJP2 PROLOG POST 161126 has put a new view of our Celebration of our Lord Jesus' First Advent in my noggin. I had never considered that His Humble Beginning, in a Stable in Bethlehem was The Beginning Of The End. That His Coming as a Servant That Saves us Is Also The Opening Of The Very Gates of Heaven for us to Be Able to Serve as well In His Coming Kingdom of GRACE. God The Father's GIFT of His Son, Paying our Debt of sin, In Full, Provides us His Ability to GIVE as well.

SEASON: Saved for Eternity by the Advent of the SON/Savior
It is just hard to believe, now with Thanksgiving Day past that we've entered into another run of the Thanksgiving - Christmas and New Year Holiday Triad. Interesting that we pause to first say "Thanks" for All The Blessings that have been poured upon us (both past, present and future). Then we pause to Celebrate our Lord Jesus' First Advent, where He both Presented and actually Was The First Gift of Eternal Christmas from God The Father. We round up the Triad By our New Years Celebrations which we Focus on HOPE for the Coming Year of our Lord.
Yep, it is the last of the Holiday SEASONS for 2016.
BUT for today, I am Hearing The Holy Spirit's Guidance as being for me to Focus this PJP2 161126 on Christmas. No question for me, JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!
I also Hear The Holy Spirit's Recommendation to Share His Inspired WORD as Recorded by Paul. I Sense His Sharing, for me at least, is a Boost and Reminder of our own entry into pondering our Lord Jesus' First Advent. This time of year can be quite challenging for some due to a wide-variety of road-bumps, loss, and other tensions that have arisen through our Life's Journey. As we Travel this year's Road to Bethlehem together, I am Hearing Him Repeatedly Mention that I need to Focus the PJP2s on our Lord Jesus and The HOPE He Brings to us.

YAHWEH Said To Moses, ‘You yourselves Have Seen What I Did to the Egyptians, And How I Bore you On Eagles' WINGS And Brought you To Myself. Now Therefore, If you Will Indeed OBEY My Noice And Keep My Covenant, you Shall Be My Treasured Possession Among ALL peoples, For ALL the earth Is Mine; And you Shall Be To me A Kingdom of priests And A Holy nation.’ These Are The WORDs That you Shall Speak To the people of Israel.'”....
If you were to do a WORD Search of the WORD "WINGS", at least via The Bible Gateway Search Engine, you would find the WORD "WINGS" employed 66 times. There are several references to WINGS (Ezekiel, Daniel, Revelation) dealing with the Four Beings Hovering Around God's Throne. But, as noted in our PJP2 POWS today, there are also several POWS that Reflect God's Imagery of His Covering us with His WINGS.
This Brings to Mind that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, used WORD Pictures and Parables that those listening to Him during His First Advent, and Today us, Reading His WORD to us, could readily grasp God's GRACE by the similarity and understanding we would have of these WORD Pictures and Parables.
Thus in Exodus 19:4-6, as YAHWEH Shares with Moses (to Share with the Israelites) His Use of The Eagle both in Swiftness and Assuredness, to Save, Protect and Provide for His children. And connected to this we see The Lord Tie In His Consistent "IF....THEN" concept of His Love and Grace. Much again like the eaglet's parent sending the message to the young eagle - "IF you TRUST Me, and FOLLOW My Lead....You Will FLY."
In our Lord's Own WORDs...."Now Therefore, If you Will Indeed OBEY My Noice And Keep My Covenant, you Shall Be My Treasured Possession Among ALL peoples"....
So, Crew, Regardless of our circumstances, bumps-in-the-road currently being faced, I would Offer Up that This PROMISE of Protection and Provision is Indeed Still True for us today.....BUT, Like the young eaglet, we Must TRUST our Lord Jesus. Ever Remember, He Is Faithful and True.

WINGS: Walking In step Next to God's Son
Once more a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you and yours. My thanks for your patience and understanding in my delaying a PJP2 Entry from yesterday into a combination PJP2s for today. In keeping with the J-ACRONYMs this week, dealing with Turkey Day.....The Holy Spirit's Guided me towards the J-ACRONYM of WINGS.....
You may wonder how the J-ACRONYM process works - that's a great question, I do wish I could fully explain it.....Let me do my best to Share.....Essentially, as I do my daily Readings, I Ask The Lord For His WORD He Would Have me Focus on for this day. Interestingly enough The Holy Spirit Often Provides more than just one WORD. If you saw my Daily Planner (where I jot down notes with regards to Passages Of the WORD Select (POWS), J-ACRONYM potentials, as well as J-ACRONYMs) you'd find a wide-array of PJP2 entry considerations. As my Quiet Time goes along, I strive to remain Open to Him Nudging me towards one of those 'concepts' He's Brought to Mind. I have found, like today for example, that I may have started down the path with one J-ACRONYM (i.e. AROMA), only to Find He Draws me to a different one (WINGS) to build upon.
I must admit I am frequently Amazed by His Direction with a J-ACRONYM and how He unwraps His Input within the given WORD. So, like this morning, if you think about it, Walking In step Next to God's Son will, perhaps, in our Inner Self, Give us His WINGS to Lift us Up, or at least Sustain us as we SOAR (Seek, Obey, Apply, Rely) with Him.
Thus, permit me, for Today's Overall Prayer (TOP) to simply Share three POWS....May He Speak to us via His WORD to us, In The Specific Way He Needs to Reach us at this Moment....

Do NOT repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, BUT On The Contrary, BLESS, For To This you Were Called, That you May Obtain A BLESSING.".....
God The Father's Circle of BLESSINGS.....His Holy Spirit, Working Within, Around and Through us, Blessing us with His Abundant LIFE, Does Just That so that we can 'Pay Forward' by Being God's BLESSING in others LIVES.
As we continue on down this Road of LIFE, His TRUTH and PURPOSE for our LIVES does, Little-by-Little, begin to clarify in FOCUS and VECTOR.
Now, please don't hear what I am not saying - not saying that's our Having "Unity of Mind, Sympathy, Brotherly LOVE, A Tender Heart, And A Humble Mind" is an easy task....No, not at all. As we've witnessed in our Presidential Election/2016, these Characteristics seem few and far between. Nor am I saying that it's a 'natural human response' to BLESS when someone's been evil, cruel or wicked towards us. One could say, especially it seems of late, that our human fellows seem further from demonstrating this concept than ever before.
BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH), Praise God our HOPE is NOT in mankind. Our HOPE Resides on God's ROCK, His One and Only Son, our Lord Jesus. As The Holy Spirit Inspired Paul to write in Philippians 4:13 (ESV)...."I Can Do ALL Things In/Through Him Who Strengthens me."....
So, May we Each Be Open and Remember, our Lord Jesus Can and Will Work and Apply His Transformation of us In Alignment with His Own LIFE, and The End Result Will Be that As He BLESSES us, we Will Be Empowered to BLESS others.

Leviticus 26:2-13 is like one very long 'green-BEAN' - meaning, once you peel back the outer shell of the 'green-BEAN', we find a long-line of 'pods' of PROMISE from our Lord and Savior. Just a side-note, Leviticus 26:2-13 is also an excellent example of our Lord's "IF....THEN" Principle.....Boiled down, His Principle would read...."IF you Follow and OBEY Me/My Guidance for you....THEN I Will BLESS you (and you Will BLESS others)"...

Such a straight-forward, yet Powerful Application of God's GRAVY in our Lives. Think about how GRAVY, when it is warm, smothering over the meal course that we're adding it to....how that warmth and flavor adds so much to our dining experience. God's GRACE is much the same - He Adds His Warmth and Flavor of His Presence With us, despite our weaknesses. God's GRACE, much as GRAVY does, adds to our Peace once we've consumed and been Warmed/Fulfilled by His Provision. Such a Blessing.

Yep, today is about GRAVY....Cindy and I are in the middle of preparing to share our Thanksgiving Day with Mom Johnson. We're doing a 'carry-in', bringing Thanksgiving Dinner with us. As we were at the grocery yesterday, we were picking up the normal for a traditional turkey meal (cranberries; pumpkin; stuffing.....). One of the traditions Cindy's side of our family has is homemade noodles with GRAVY. If you've never tried GRAVY on homemade noodles, it is really quite good. Anyway....that got me to thinking about GRAVY. The Holy Spirit has Done His Part to Help derive today's J-ACRONYM.....
GRAVY: (God's) Grace Revealed to All Via Yeshua (Jesus)
Indeed, GRAVY in God's Context does make since to me. I mean GRACE (God's Redemption/Reconciliation At Christ's Expense) is God's GRAVY upon His Gift and Meal of Salvation that He Provides for us. Oh there's a ton of comparisons we could make (Christ's The BREAD of LIFE....) where GRAVY is 'applied' (pardon the pun).....BUT for today's PJP2, I am Hearing The Spirit Guide me to His FOCUS on our Lord Jesus and God The Father's Revelation to us of His Love for us By Showering us with His GRACE.
Isaiah 28:16 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Therefore, Thus Says The Lord God, 'BEHOLD, I Am The one Who Has Laid As A Foundation in Zion, A STONE, A Tested STONE, A Precious CORNERSTONE, Of A Sure Foundation: Whoever BELIEVES Will Not Be in haste.’"....
Such a Blessing to Connect and Be Open to His Building Within us Based On His CORNERSTONE, our Lord Jesus Christ. This is GRAVY for us to Know He Loves us so.

YAM: "YES, (I) AM the Messiah"
When I think about our Thanksgiving Day feast, one of the dishes I look forward to is the sweet potatoes, or yams. Through the years both Mom Johnson and my lovely Bride of 38 years, "General" Johnson, has made a variety of formulations of the yam dish. I would be hard pressed to share which version happened to be my favorite, so suffice to say, I do like having sweet potatoes with our T-Day meal.
Thus, today I heard The Holy Spirit Suggest we use YAM as our J-ACRONYM for today's PJP2 Entry. So, here we go.....
As I mull this over this morning I begin to sense a correlation between YAM and our Lord Jesus....taken at face-value a YAM doesn't seem to be that appetizing, in fact their a pretty ugly looking tuber when they're dug-up (much like a normal potato). Our Lord Jesus, at face-value might come across somewhat the same. In fact, check out this Messianic Prophecy....
Isaiah 53:2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For He Grew Up Before Him Like A Young Plant, And Like A Root out of dry ground; He Had No Form Or Majesty that we should look at Him, And No Beauty that we should desire Him."....
Sounds kinda like a YAM.

2 Peter 1:3-11 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)...."His Divine Power Has Granted to us All Things That Pertain To LIFE And Godliness, THROUGH The Knowledge Of Him Who Called us To His Own Glory And Excellence, By Which He Has Granted to us His Precious And Very Great Promises, So That Through Them you May Become Partakers Of The Divine Nature, Having Escaped from the corruption that is in the world Because of sinful desire. For This Very Reason, Make Every Effort To Supplement your FAITH With Virtue, And Virtue With Knowledge, And Knowledge With Self-control, And Self-control With Steadfastness, And Steadfastness With Godliness, And Godliness With Brotherly Affection, And Brotherly Affection With LOVE. For If These Qualities Are yours And Are Increasing, They Keep you From Being ineffective or unfruitful In The Knowledge Of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks These Qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten That he Was Cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, Brothers (& Sisters), Be All The More Diligent To Confirm your Calling And Election, For If you Practice These qualities you Will Never fall. For In This WAY There Will Be Richly Provided For you An Entrance Into The Eternal Kingdom Of our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ."...

My overall Prayer for us today - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy and Sweet Grace towards us. Lord Jesus, Guide us, as You Share with us via Your WORD. Holy Spirit, Plant Your TRUTH, in our Hearts that we May Bear Your Fruit for All who do Not Know You to See and Be Drawn to You. Father God, May Your Son, our Lord Jesus, Your Messiah, Be Reflected in All we Say, Think and Do for You. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers....Amen and Amen....jaj
