PJP2 PROLOG POST 160226 - Luke 15:31-32 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)....“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you Are Always With me, And Everything I have Is yours. BUT we had To Celebrate And Be Glad, Because this brother of yours was dead And Is Alive Again; he was lost And Is Found.’”
I dearly love our Lord's Parable of The Prodigal Son. In fact in Luke Chapter 15, The Holy Spirit Shares three Parables of Lost and Found. We find the Parable of The Lost Sheep, The Lost Coin, and The Lost Son. Each of these three end with "Rejoice....I have found" that which was Lost.
I Know so very well that I relate to The Prodigal. I can sense in my Soul's Heart of Hearts that I have squandered His Gift of Grace and Love so very many times. I too have sensed I have no claim, or 'right' to return and ask God The Father for His Forgiveness. Yet, even as I trudge back to Him, there He Stands, Like a Beacon, a Lighthouse, Calling me in Mercy and Amazing Grace back to Him and His Loving, Healing Embrace.
Our Lord Jesus validates God The Father's Intent for His Mission of Healing, regardless of how far we have fallen, (Luke 5:31-32)...."Jesus Answered them, 'It is NOT the healthy who Need A Doctor, BUT the sick. I Have NOT Come To Call the righteous, BUT sinners To Repentance.”
Praise God that The Great Physician's Shingle is Still Out and The Great Doctor is Still Making House Calls.
My Prayer for us today would be - Lord Jesus, May we Ever Hear Your Call and Come to You. Holy Spirit, Help us to See beyond our weakness and our soul-illness to Know That You Can indeed Heal us. Father God, Thank You that You are Still our Loving Father, Faithfully Watching for us, Your Prodigals, to come into View of Your Waiting, Wanting and Loving Grace. In Your Precious Name we Pray....Amen/Amen....jaj
May His Blessings ever Be Upon you and yours.....jaj
