PROPHET:
Proclaim (His) Redemption/Reconciliation Of (the) People & Proclaim His Eternal Truth
Deuteronomy 32:3 For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God!
PROPHET....as we exit 2016, and roll into 2017, one of the things we'll see and hear is discussions/projections about what our New Year will be like. I can remember as a youngster seeing the published 'prophecy' of our current/modern day 'seer's. That, of course, brings to mind the concept of a PROPHET. According to the christiananswers.net website: PROPHET Defined: "Nabi is is the first and the most generally used for a prophet. In the time of Samuel another word, ro'eh, “seer,” began to be used (1 Sam. 9:9). It occurs seven times in reference to Samuel. Afterwards another word, hozeh, “seer” (2 Sam. 24:11), was employed. In 1 Ch. 29:29 all these three words are used: “Samuel the seer (ro'eh), Nathan the prophet (nabi'), Gad the seer” (hozeh). In Josh. 13:22 Balaam is called (Hebrew) a kosem “diviner,” a word used only of a false prophet. The “prophet” proclaimed the message given to him, as the “seer” beheld the vision of God. (See Num. 12:6, 8.) Thus a prophet was a spokesman for God; he spake in God's name and by his authority (Ex. 7:1). Father God, With All our Prayers And Supplication, Help us to Reflect You in our Word, Thought and Deeds. Lord Jesus, To That End, Please Help us to Keep Alert With All Perseverance, as we Walk In Your Steps. Holy Spirit, we Come to You, Making Supplication For All Your saints. Psalm 145:10 {ESV/emphasis added/jaj}....“ALL Your Works Shall Give Thanks ToYou, O Lord, And ALL your saints Shall Bless You!"....
PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161230 - FORGIVE - Matthew 18:21-22(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Then Peter came up and said to Jesus, 'Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, And I FORGIVE him? As many as seven times?' Jesus Said to him, 'I Do NOT Say To you Seven Times, BUT Seventy TIMES Seven'".....
To FORGIVE is NOT an easy task.
I am Pondering over just the past year (2016) with regards to what my old-self has deemed 'wrongs' to my person. As I mull these 'wrongs' over, I have multiple vectors my thought-paths are running. There's some tingling of 'revenge' (not in a dastardly way at all, but pay-back for certain); There's a sense of judgement upon the 'scourge' who 'harmed' me; There's a sense of
'righteous anger' and indignation towards both the 'wrong' and the 'worker of the wrong'....ugh....
As I read back through that paragraph, my insides is roiling and unsettled by the negativity contained within those 84 words. Flat-out, those 84 words, for the most part, are just plain ugly. Not at all a WORD of Encouragement to be found there.
And PJP2 "SEVEN PRAISES" is All About God's WORD of Encouragement!
So.....what I Hear His Holy Spirit Sharing with me is, especially when we find ourselves being lulled down the pathway of negativity.....His WORD Offers God The Father's Solution....
Let us HEAR and HEED Him.....
1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)...."Now Concerning the times and the seasons, Brothers/Sisters, you Have No Need To Have Anything Written to you. For you yourselves Are Fully Aware That The Day Of The Lord Will Come Like A Thief In The Night. While people are saying, 'There is peace and security,' Then Sudden Destruction Will Come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, And they Will NOT escape. BUT you Are NOT in darkness, Brothers/Sisters, For That Day to surprise you Like A Thief. For you Are ALL children Of LIGHT, children Of The Day. We Are NOT of the night OR of the darkness. SO Then Let us NOT sleep, as others do, BUT Let us Keep Awake And Be Sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. BUT Since we Belong To The Day, Let us Be Sober, Having Put On The Breastplate Of FAITH And LOVE, And For A Helmet The HOPE Of Salvation. And so, for my Prayer for us today, Let me Share His WORD of Encouragement for us as our Prayer for One Another.....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your LOVE and GRACE. THEREFORE, Lord Jesus, As You Encourage us, Help us, As Well, To Encourage one another. Holy Spirit, As You Build us Up In Your WORD, Help us To Build one another Up. I am Sensing His Holy Spirit's Guidance in these, especially for me to be more consistent and STOP what I'm in the midst of to Raise Praise and Prayer to and through Him. So, my thanks for your patience as I do strive to Hear and Heed (HeHe) His Guidance.....jaj}
I am Thankful for our Lord's Presence in our Past, Present and Future. What a Relief to Recognize He Is Indeed With us Every Step of our Way. It does not necessarily lessen my sense of guilt for when I've strayed from His Way in my Life. BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth), His GRACE, as Shared via Colossians 1:9-14, LIGHTS And DELIVERS me from that 'domain of darkness' Into His LIGHT of LOVE and GRACE.
IF You Too Are of His Household Of HOPE, Then you too are quite Aware of This Powerful Phenomenon. IF you are NOT of The Family Of FAITH, Rest Assured, our Lord Jesus BOTH Has Room for you, and He Stands With His Arms Wide to Accept You as well.....

FORGIVE: Follow Only (Our) Redeemer's Guidance In Verily Everything

These last few days of 2016 we have begun to see on Facebook et al, evening News, other venues our collective 'reflections' on the ending-year. Though I would not think of speaking for you, I will share from my own 2016 there are scenarios in which I would be best to Follow our Lord's Example (FLEX) and FORGIVE situations in which I sense I have been wronged in some way.
Details of these scenarios are not the importance - What I Sense His Holy Spirit Guiding me towards Is The Importance of "Letting Go" of The Grudge I've been nursing (especially well before The Grudge grows up into something much worse), AND Move Ever Forward In His GRACE Of (The) WAY (GROW In HIM).
So.....today's PJP2 "7 PRAISES" (161230) focuses on the J-ACRONYM....FORGIVE....
As we leave 2016 and begin 2017, I am Hearing His Holy Spirit mention anew that our Lord Jesus both Prepared us and continues to Prepare us for both our Past, our Present, and our Future with Him.....Jesus Said.... (John 16:12-15 {ESV/emphasis added/jaj})....“I Still Have Many Things To Say To you, BUT you Cannot Bear Them Now. WHEN The Spirit Of TRUTH Comes, He Will GUIDE you Into ALL The TRUTH, For He Will NOT Speak On His Own Authority, BUT Whatever He Hears He Will Speak, And He Will Declare To you The Things That Are To Come. He Will Glorify Me, For He Will Take What Is Mine And Declare It To you. ALL That The Father Has Is Mine; Therefore I Said That He Will Take What Is Mine And Declare It To you."....
Wow, such a Broad and Powerful WORD of Encouragement from our Lord Jesus with Regards to our Past/Present and Future. What an Phenomenal PROMISE and GIFT He has Given us via The Eternal Presence of His Holy Spirit. What an Awesome Assurance for us to Rely On Christ our King's WORD.
So here's a Thought for us to Ponder.....When we sense we've been wronged in someway, what's the first WORD of Guidance we might turn to?
Consider with me that our Lord Jesus crystallized God's Commands to us to Two Great Commandments.....
Matthew 22:36-40 John 16:12-15 {ESV/emphasis added/jaj}....“One of the scribes/Pharisees asked, 'Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?' And Jesus Said to him, 'You Shall LOVE The Lord your God With ALL your Heart And With ALL your Soul And With ALL your Mind. THIS Is The Great And First Commandment. And A Second Is Like IT: You Shall LOVE your neighbor As yourself. On These TWO Commandments Depend ALL The Law and the Prophets.”
I know for me, when I have this sensation of being wronged, my first reaction is usually one of judging the other.....Our Lord Jesus Provides us Guidance on this reaction as well....

Like our ancestor Peter, I hear the old self say....{Matthew 18:21-22(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)}...."Then Peter came up and said to Jesus, 'Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, And I FORGIVE him? As many as seven times?' Jesus Said to him, 'I Do NOT Say To you Seven Times, BUT Seventy TIMES Seven'".....
So, Team, my PJP2 Prelude Prayer for us today would be simply - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Thank You and Praise You for Your Amazing LOVE and GRACE. Lord Jesus, Daily, even Moment-by-Moment Open our Inner Ears to Hear Your WORD of TRUTH to us. Holy Spirit, Open our Inner Heart and Plant Your Guidance Within us. Father God Help us Learn to Apply Your GIFT of FORGIVENESS. May our Lives Ever Reflect You, Lord Jesus, as our One and Only True King. In Your Holy Name, we Pray.....Amen and Amen....jaj

PJP2 PROLOG - 161229 - PROLOG Focus: Isaiah 40:28-31........RENEW -

PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161229 - RENEW - Isaiah 40:28-31 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Have you Not Known? Have you Not Heard? The Lord IS The Everlasting God, The Creator of the ends of the earth. He Does NOT faint OR grow weary; His Understanding IS Unsearchable. He Gives Power to the faint, And to him who has no might He Increases Strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who WAIT For The Lord Shall RENEW their Strength; they Shall Mount Up With Wings Like Eagles; they Shall RUN And NOT be weary; they Shall WALK And NOT faint."....
When I ponder regards The Lord's Concept(s) regarding RENEW, the one thing that pops in my noggin' is the mythical Phoenix. Fawkes, Albus Dumbledore's Phoenix that we get to meet via the Harry Potter Stories, is of course the example that I see in my Mind's Eye. Really a perfect allegory to what we're talking about. When perhaps first notice Fawkes (during the episode, "The Chamber of Secrets") Fawkes has aged, collapses and burns in a fantastic burst of flame to end up as a pile of ashes. Then, to our bewildered amazement, Fawkes is 'reborn', RENEWed, if you will, as is the case with the Phoenix.
Now, don't hear what I'm not saying, not in anyway comparing our Lord Jesus' LIFE, SACRIFICE and RESURRECTION as being similar to the Phoenix. BUT, what I am saying is The Only Pathway To TRUE RENEWAL is via our Lord's Path. He Provides The Eternal Bridge to God's RECONCILIATION, RESTORATION, RECREATION, REVIVAL and RENEWAL of our LIVES. And, like Fawkes, our RENEWed self will have New Strength and New Purpose to LIVE His LIFE In us.
So, Team, I would Offer Up His PROMISE To RENEW us as His WORD of Encouragement for us Today and Forever. All He Asks of us is to REPENT and RETURN to Him.....IF our Journey To RENEWal In Him is 1,000 steps, then He Already has Taken 999 of those Steps....All He Asks of us is to take just One Step.....
My Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Amazing Love, Mercy and GRACE. Lord Jesus, REVIVE us Again With Your Presence. Holy Spirit, Guide us, once more, In Your Path of LOVE and LIGHT. Father God, we REPENT and RETURN to You. For You and You Alone Are The Way, The Truth and The LIFE. Lord Jesus, Raise us up On Your Eagle's Wings. Holy Spirit Help us to SOAR With You. Father God, Empower and Encourage us to Run and Walk in Your Might, Sharing Your WORD with those who do Not Yet Know You. RENEW: Reconcile/Revive/Repent/Return (to) Eternity Now (via His) Every WORD
2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Therefore, IF anyone Is In Christ, he Is A NEW Creation. The old has passed away; BEHOLD, The NEW Has Come."....
Just two days remain in 2016. As 2017 looms on our horizon, thoughts of the old being gone and the NEW coming forth start to dominate our thoughts. Tragically this is brought even more so to mind as we witness the loss and passing of iconic individuals in our collective histories, family members (as well), or lives that have touched us wether up-close and personal, or from a distance by their positive influence in this world.
It can be a definite challenge to shift our thoughts from the loss and pain to begin once more to consider God's Ultimate PLAN for RENEWal of LIFE In Him.
In fact, our Lord Jesus went through something very similar during His First Advent with us....
John 11:1-4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. It was Mary who anointed The Lord with ointment and wiped His Feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill. So the sisters sent to Him, saying, 'Lord, he whom You Love is ill.' BUT When Jesus Heard it He Said, 'This illness Does NOT lead to death. It Is For The Glory Of God, SO That The Son Of God May Be Glorified Through It.'”....
If you are not aware of The Story of Lazarus - in a nut-shell, Lazarus' illness does cause him to stop living. Jesus, after four-days, makes it to the-now-late Lazarus' home, where Lazarus' sisters (Martha & Mary) are mourning the death of their brother. Jesus was not insensitive to their loss. In fact.....John 11:35 (ESV)...."Jesus wept."
BUT our Lord Jesus did NOT lose sight of The Bigger Picture.....
John 11:25-27, 38-44 (ESV)...."Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.”.....Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it. Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, “Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days.” Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. Team, as we prepare to go forward from 2016 into 2017, I would Pray and Encourage us to Be Open To our Lord's Insight with regards to His Understanding and Sharing God The Father's Bigger Picture with us. I am confident, regardless of our current circumstances and scenarios, He Is In The Process of RENEWing, REVIVing, RECONCILing and Helping us to REPENT and RETURN to Him and His WAY for our LIVES.

Just two days remain in 2016. As 2017 looms on our horizon, thoughts of the old being gone and the NEW coming forth start to dominate our thoughts. Tragically this is brought even more so to mind as we witness the loss and passing of iconic individuals in our collective histories, family members (as well), or lives that have touched us wether up-close and personal, or from a distance by their positive influence in this world.
It can be a definite challenge to shift our thoughts from the loss and pain to begin once more to consider God's Ultimate PLAN for RENEWal of LIFE In Him.
In fact, our Lord Jesus went through something very similar during His First Advent with us....
John 11:1-4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha. It was Mary who anointed The Lord with ointment and wiped His Feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill. So the sisters sent to Him, saying, 'Lord, he whom You Love is ill.' BUT When Jesus Heard it He Said, 'This illness Does NOT lead to death. It Is For The Glory Of God, SO That The Son Of God May Be Glorified Through It.'”....
If you are not aware of The Story of Lazarus - in a nut-shell, Lazarus' illness does cause him to stop living. The Lord IS NOT slow To Fulfill His PROMISE as some count slowness, BUT Is Patient Toward you, NOT Wishing That any should perish, BUT That ALL Should Reach Repentance. BUT The Day Of The Lord Will Come Like A Thief, And Then The Heavens Will Pass Away With A Roar, And The Heavenly Bodies Will Be Burned Up And Dissolved, And the earth and the works that are done on it Will Be Exposed. I have mentioned in previous PJP2 Entries my fascination with our Lord's Prophecies with regards to His Coming 2nd ADVENT. Operation Dawn Patrol (ODP) is what I have dubbed news stories, events, and His WORD that hints at His 2nd ADVENT's Revelation of coming closer.
No doubt, like most folks, I too am intrigued and would love to know what the 'FUTURE' holds for us. Nostradamus, Hal Lindsey, Tim LeHaye....I've read several treatise with regards to trying to 'read the signs' of His HC2A, or ODP.
BUT.....Here's What our Lord Jesus Said to His disciples when they pointedly ASKED Him WHEN He Would Return....Matthew 24:36-37 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....“BUT Concerning That Day And Nour NO ONE KNOWS, NOT even the angels of heaven, NOT The Son, BUT The Father ONLY. For As Were The Days Of Noah, SO Will Be The Coming Of The Son Of Man."....
Seems pretty straightforward....we simply do not know, with regards to ODP when.....Thus, as Peter suggests, with regards to our Actions as we move forward.....

HOPE: He's Our Promise Eternal
Psalm 62:5 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For God Alone, O my Soul, Wait In Silence, For my HOPE Is From Him."....
Only three days left in our current year (2016). It is hard to believe we're almost through this year, heading towards another New Year. Granted there is no guarantees in regards to our experiences in 2017. As we're witnessing even in these last few days of 2016, there remains on-going world-wide tensions, uncertainty and challenges to be faced. Personally, for each of us, there's circumstances which create both senses of Rejoicing and Sorrow.
As 2017 begins, I know at least in the Team Johnson history, there's always been an expectation of HOPE that each New Year will be better than the outgoing year. For us, 2016 has been both an exciting year, BUT a year also laced with sadness and family loss. 2016 has been a year filled with continuous change - a lot towards the positive, some neutral, some not so positive.
BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH) the Bottom-Line/Up-Front, our expectation of HOPE is Firmly Based on God The Father, His Son, our Lord Jesus and His Holy Spirit's Eternal PROMISE to us. Our FAITH in Him is well Defined from His Holy WORD as Recorded by the author of the letter to Hebrews (11:1 - ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Now FAITH Is The Assurance Of Things HOPED For, The Conviction Of Things Not Seen."....
Team, Even in the darkest of nights, or the gravest of days, His WORD Proclaims His Eternal TRUTH and PROMISE to us.....

His Divine Power Has Granted To us ALL Things That Pertain To LIFE And Godliness, THROUGH The Knowledge Of Him Who Called us To His Own Glory And Excellence, By Which He Has Granted To us His Precious And Very Great PROMISES, So That Through THEM you May Become Partakers Of The Divine Nature, Having Escaped from the corruption that is in the world Because of sinful desire."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST - 16122627 - BE STILL - Psalm 62:5-8 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For God Alone, O my Soul, WAIT In SILENCE, For my HOPE Is From Him. He Only Is my ROCK And my Salvation, my Fortress; I Shall NOT be shaken. On God Rests my Salvation And my Glory; my Mighty ROCK, my Refuge Is God. TRUST In Him At ALL times, O people; Pour Out your Heart Before Him; God Is A Refuge For us."....
There is indeed something very soothing about us Heeding His WORD and taking to Heart His WORD when He Says to us, "BE STILL".
I know, at least for me, my day, at times, seems so filled with noise, activity, even busyness that may, or may not, have a positive end-point toward being 'productive'.
Yet, there are those times where I stop and Hear His Holy Spirit Whispering to me, "Jeff, BE STILL."
When I at last Heed His WORD and Stop, and BE STILL....Then, as we Read in Psalm 62:5-8.....His HOPE begins to Provide His CALM even in the midst of a torrential 'LIFE' downpour.....I Sense my 'feet' Standing Firm upon Him, my ROCK of Salvation....My Inner spirit senses His Eternal Shields, His FORTRESS of FAITH Rising All Around me, Providing His Protection and Encouragement That His VICTORY is Assured....My TRUST in our Lord and Savior Is Well Founded and At Last I can, Pour Out ALL my fears, distractions and doubt, as well as my Joy and Requests for His Help, Guidance and Forgiveness.
All simply as we Hear and Heed Him Say to us...."BE STILL"....
So.....My Prayer for us today would be to offer up a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise.....

I am Thankful for our Lord's Example. Indeed His Holy Spirit Shares with us Consistently That It Is Well With our Soul, especially When we Are With Him and Learn His Joy to just BE STILL with Him.
Oh how often, Dear Ones, I fall into that trap of frustration, or even excitation, and I find myself far to eager to raise my voice, chatter away, and so very often miss His Miracle of BEing STILL In His Presence.
I am Thankful our Lord Jesus Understands us so very well, having Been One with us as He Too, taking on our human flesh, He Lived With us and Reveals To us that Indeed we Can BE STILL and Know That He Is GOD.....
My Prayer of Thanks for us today would be - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Ever Present and Living Example. Lord Jesus, Prepare our Inner Heart that we May Better Learn and Follow Your Example to BE STILL with You. Holy Spirit, Forgive us when we stumble and permit the distractions of our world to interfere with our BEing STILL With You. Father God, Thank You for Your GRACE and Understanding. I have mentioned before I often Hear The Holy Spirit Providing Suggestions and Recommendations on what I'm to Ponder On for the PJP2 being generated - Sometimes He Does So by a Passage Of the WORD Select (POWS) popping up consistently in my Devotions; - Sometimes He has a Consistent Wording, such as "BE STILL" that I Read in the POWS, See in other venues and Hear from Close Friends/Family; - Sometimes His Recommendations come through additional Connections, such as during Prayers; - Sometimes The Holy Spirit uses a Combination of all of the above and then some.....
Thus today's (16122627) PJP2 Posting is due to a Combination...(a) I Read "BE STILL" multiple times in multiple-POWS and Devotional writings; (b) General J and I spent Monday coming back from visiting our Kids & Grand-Kids....had a lot of time to Think and Ponder and "BE STILL"; (c) My Friend and Brother-in-Christ (Rick Dabner) shared a FaceBook Posting where he mentioned how Peaceful it can be the Day After Christmas....Indeed, one of the Consistent Drivers on my rising early each morning to have my Quiet Time - so Peaceful prior to the start of the day's activities.....Like the world has Heard The Lord's Comment...."BE STILL" and Obeyed......

In less than 24-hours, Christmas Day 2016 will arrive. Every year I'm enthralled by the build up to our Celebration of our Lord Jesus' First Advent, His First Noel. Every year the Sense of Excitement and Expectation challenges my ability to be calm and WAIT.....
WAIT....something I do NOT do very well at all. Yet....here we are, as we also now WAIT for His Second Advent, discovering our Lord's Expectation of us is to WAIT for His Perfect Timing....And, thus, His Holy Spirit Shines His Inspiration for us to see and proclaim....

Christmas Time is indeed one of my most favorite times of our year. I love all that we do - putting up our old and new Christmas Decorations; - Reviving old Traditions and beginning New ones; - Getting cards/notes/and now social-media contacts from Old and New Friends; - Gathering the Family together to enjoy one another's company; - Gathering for Worship Celebrations, Singing Christmas Praise; - Reading and Pondering His First Advent and His New Applications in our Lives.....
BUT I also recognized that This Time of Year can and is very stressful as well. There are many of us that struggle through Advent and New Years due to a wide-array of challenges we've faced and may still be facing.
Thus, What I Hear His Holy Spirit Focusing me on This Morning, especially within our pondering the "U" in JESUS....UNITED and UNITY. I mean, as we See in our Lord Jesus' Prayer (John 17:21), He Prayed for us to Be UNITED in/with Him And God The Father AND to Have UNITY amongst ourselves.
Why?
Well, let me step aside and Let His Holy Spirit Answer that.....
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV)...."Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken."
As well as our Lord Jesus....
Matthew 18:19-20 (ESV)...."Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
So, besides the obvious Eternal Benefit of our Being A New Creation By His GRACE, our Being UNITED with Him and In UNITY (Common-UNITY) with One Another, And His Amazing Promises (Found Throughout His WORD to us)....Bottom-Line/Up-Front (BLUF) it Is His Way for us to LIVE This earthly LIFE and His LIFE Yet To Come.....
My Prayer for us today would be to Offer Up His WORD as a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise as His Holy Spirit Shared with us in Psalm 133:1-3 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....
O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Indeed Lord, BEHOLD, How Good And Pleasant It Really Is When Your Household of HOPE Dwells together In Your UNITY! Lord Jesus, Help us to Share That Being UNITED With You Is Like Your Precious Oil of GRACE upon us. Holy Spirit, Being In UNITY with You is Like Your Light Shining Upon us. Father God, Being One with You Through Your Son, our Lord Jesus, Is Like The Refreshing Morning Dew Upon us Your New Vines, Refreshing and Revitalizing us. PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161222 - JESUS (Entry 3 - S) - John 16:12-15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Jesus Said to His disciples, 'I Still Have Many Things To Say to you, BUT you Cannot Bear Them Now. When The Spirit Of Truth Comes, He Will Guide you Into ALL The Truth, For He Will NOT Speak On His Own Authority, BUT Whatever He Hears He Will Speak, And He Will Declare To you The Things That Are To Come. He Will Glorify Me, For He Will Take What Is Mine And Declare It To you. ALL That The Father Has Is Mine; Therefore I Said That He Will Take What Is Mine And Declare It To you.'"....
I have Shared before that, at times, Reading God's WORD is somewhat like being a Gold Prospector. As we 'prospect' through the 'Depths' of 'the caverns' in God's WORD, you simply know you Will 'Strike GOLD', just not sure how much....and.....you will almost invariably find every MORE GOLD in a POWS that you have already unpacked.....almost Like The Lord planted additional GOLD in the previous POWS while you weren't looking there.
Today's PJP2 PROLOG 161222 POWS (John 16:12-15) sheds some light on this concept.....I mean The Lord Jesus Shares with His disciples (and I Believe this Applies to us today as well) That There's Concepts He Will Provide us, BUT, Through His Holy Spirit, When The Spirit Knows we're Ready for Them.
One of the Concepts I've Sensed He's Been Laying on my Heart, especially during Advent 2016, is this Concept of our Lord Jesus' LIFE Continuum....Meaning our Lord Jesus' "LIFE Timeline" goes along something like this....
Creator....Caretaker.....Cradle.....Caregiver.....Crucified.....Conquering King....Come-Again
Yet, for all so long, I got distracted by His Being The Baby Jesus, not really Considering that our Lord Jesus IS ALL of those 7 items mentioned above (and MORE). This Year His Holy Spirit has Introduced me to the Thought that His Story didn't Begin At the Manger, nor, indeed, does His Story End at His Cross. His Story, The Gospel of our Lord Jesus that we are Charged to Share and Reflect, Goes Well Beyond His First Advent Among us.
Wow.
So, my PJP2 PROLOG 161222 Prayer for us today would simply be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Story of Creation, Love, Mercy and Everlasting GRACE. Lord Jesus, Continue to Open our Inner Eyes that we May See, Believe and Share ALL of Your Story. Holy Spirit, As our Lord Jesus' Promises, As His Spirit of TRUTH, Teach us In Your Ways. Today's PJP2 161222 (JESUS / Entry 3 - S) is a Story with regards to our SOUL.....God's STONE/ROCK....and His Spirit (in connection with our spirit).....
From the get-go, let us concur, for Those Of His Household Of HOPE, His Family Of FAITH, that we agree with His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD as Recorded in 2 Chronicles 15:12 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And they Entered Into A Covenant To Seek The Lord, The God of their fathers, With ALL their Heart And With ALL their SOUL,"....
Does that not sum up our LIVES today - we do strive (BUT not on our own power, BUT Within His Spirit and Presence) to Seek Him With ALL our Heart and SOUL? I can not speak for you, nor would I even contemplate doing so - I can only speak for myself, and I do strive to do this....Not saying I am successful 100% of the time (not by a long-shot)....BUT.....I do Pray that 'Little-by-Little' His Holy Spirit Within me is Transforming me to Be More Like our Lord Jesus....Still a LONG way to go.....
Praise God The Father that we too can Claim with His Prophet Samuel, as The Holy Spirit Inspired Samuel to write.... 1 Samuel 2:2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."There Is None Holy Like The Lord: For There Is None Besides You; There Is No ROCK Like our God."....

Further, REMEMBER that All of this, our Seeking our Lord with ALL our Heart/SOUL, and Standing/Building Upon His ROCK, is Possible NOT because of any of our own doing....BUT, as His Holy Spirit Inspired His Prophet Zechariah to Record {Zechariah 4:6} (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Then He Said to me, 'THIS Is The WORD Of The Lord to Zerubbabel: "NOT by might, NOR by power, BUT By MY Spirit", Says The Lord Of Hosts.'"....
One last PJP2 Prelude Point with Regards to God's Work Via His Holy Spirit at This Time of our Celebrating our Lord's First Advent, His First Noel.....
Luke 1:26-38 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...." In the sixth month The Angel Gabriel Was Sent From God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. And He Came to her And Said, 'Greetings, O Favored one, The Lord Is With you!' BUT she was greatly troubled at The Saying, And Tried To Discern What Sort of Greeting This might be. And The Angel Said to her, “Do NOT be afraid, Mary, For you Have Found Favor With God. And BEHOLD, you Will Conceive in your womb And Bear A Son, And you Shall Call His Name Jesus. He Will Be Great And Will Be Called The Son Of The Most High. What a beautiful conclusion of our Prelude Point.....We see Mary, our Lord's earthly mother, surrender her Soul to God The Father to Seek Him. We see God The Father Secure and Assure Mary that He IS The Rock on Which she stands. God's Holy Spirit, as He Is for us, Is Mary's Guarantee of God's Faithful and True WORD. In a word....OUTSTANDING!
Thus my Prelude Prayer for us today would simply be....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Praise and Worship Your Blessed and Holy Name. PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161221 - JESUS (Entry 2 - E) - John 17:1-3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."When Jesus Had Spoken These WORDs, He Lifted Up His Eyes To Heaven, And Said, 'Father, The Hour Has Come; Glorify Your Son That The Son May Glorify You, Since You Have Given Him Authority Over ALL flesh, To Give Eternal LIFE To ALL whom You Have Given Him. AND This Is Eternal LIFE, That They KNOW You, The Only True God, AND Jesus Christ Whom You Have Sent.'"....
The Holy Spirit Shares with us in Psalm 46:10a (ESV)...."Be STILL And KNOW That I AM GOD."....
John 17:1-3 (above) is one of these sets of POWS that as soon as I read it, I do Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing Psalm 46:10a.
Our Lord Jesus' First Advent was not just His Story of Being Born in a manger. Nope, as we noted throughout today's PJP2 Entries - His Story IS All About the Continuum God The Father Began back at His Creation of our world and lives. His Story IS All About God Sharing With us, Being With us, and Revealing To us that Indeed, "The Hour Has Come", which In God's Time-Line, His Hour Always Is.
Shazam! That's a LOT to absorb. Perhaps this is why His Holy Spirit Recommends us to Be STILL And KNOW.....
Let me leave today's PJP2 PROLOG 161221 with this thought - Even when we find ourselves, especially by our own doings, in the midst of the most violent of storms, challenges, circumstances.....Let us Anchor our Souls By His GRACE and Remember His Immanuel IS EVER WITH us, no matter what.
O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Thank and Praise You for Your Amazing GIFT of Eternal LIFE. Lord Jesus, Help us to Better Understand, Little By Little, That God The Father Longs for us to Better Know Him. Holy Spirit, Guide us as we Walk, May we Ever Follow You in Your Way. Father God, Empower and Encourage us to Ever Share and Reflect Your LIGHT of LOVE and GRACE. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise.....Amen and Amen....jaj

PJP2 THANKS TEXT - 161221 - JESUS (Entry 2 - E) - Ephesians 2:4-10 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT God, Being Rich In Mercy, Because Of The Great LOVE With Which He LOVED us, Even when we were dead in our trespasses, Made us ALIVE Together With Christ—By GRACE you Have Been SAVED— And Raised us Up With Him And Seated us With Him In The Heavenly Places In Christ Jesus, SO That In The Coming Ages He Might Show The Immeasurable Riches of His GRACE In Kindness Toward us In Christ Jesus. Isaiah 7:14 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Therefore The Lord Himself Will Give you A Sign. BEHOLD, the virgin Shall Conceive And Bear A Son, And Shall Call His Name Immanuel."....
Immanuel (Emmanuel is the Romanized version)...."God With us".....God's Most Significant GIFT to us, His One and Only Son. At least 353 times in His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD recorded in the Old Testament, God The Father Gives us Hints/Clues/Prophecies of the Coming of His Messiah.
The haunting Christmas Carol, "O Come, O Come, Immanuel" shares our Eternal Longing for the Reconciliation of our Relationship with God The Father, fractured by our failure and disobedience. God's PLAN of Redemption was Activated immediately upon our Fall from His GRACE. Hear His WORD.....

Yes, The Mystery of NOEL, our Lord's First Advent, is not one that stops at Christ's Manger in Bethlehem. No, His Story Begins in Genesis 1:1 and Runs Through Revelation 22:21. May we, today, Ponder and Remember our Lord Jesus' Creation to Cradle to Grave to Eternal Life as His Blueprint for our very own LIFE In Him....Remember...."O Come, O Come, Immanuel....Come to Captive Israel".....

PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161220 - JESUS (Entry 1 - J) - Romans 4:16-25 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."That Is Why IT Depends On FAITH, In Order That The PROMISE May Rest On GRACE And Be Guaranteed To ALL his offspring—not only to the Adherent of The Law BUT Also to the one who Shares The FAITH of Abraham, who is the father of us all, As It Is Written, 'I (YAHWEH) Have Made you the father of many nations'—In The Presence Of The God In Whom he Believed, Who Gives LIFE to the dead And Calls Into Existence The Things That Do NOT Exist. In HOPE he Believed against HOPE, That he should become the father of many nations, As he Had Been Told, 'So shall your offspring be.' He Did NOT weaken in FAITH when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, Or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. Today's PJP2 PROLOG 161220 is one that God's WORD, Shared with Paul by God's Holy Spirit lays God's PLAN for our Salvation All Out in a very straightforward format.....
Bottom-Line/Up-Front (BLUF): FAITH.....The PROMISE.....GRACE
When we Have FAITH (FAITH Like Abrahams - who TRUSTED That YAHWEH, Who'd Called him to TRUST AND GO) In God's PROMISE (Of Reconciliation, Redemption, Restoration).....All Resting on God's GRACE as Revealed Via His Only Son, our Lord Jesus, His Life Among us and His Sacrifice For us, and His Resurrection which JUSTIFIED us In God's Eyes Of LOVE.
There you have it.
My Prayer for us today would be, as we Pause and Ponder on this 5th Day Prior to Celebrating His First Noel with us - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, May Your JOY of LOVE, LIGHT, MERCY and GRACE Shine In, Around and Through us to All Your children. Lord Jesus, May Your Sacrifice And Resurrection Continue to Draw those who have Not Yet Come To You as Lord and Savior. Father God, we Thank You for Your Plan of Justification of us via Your Son, our Lord Jesus. Holy Spirit, Continue to Teach us and Strengthen our FAITH by Your WORD and Guidance. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise....Amen and Amen....jaj
