Ezra 3:11a-c (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And they Sang Responsively, Praising And Giving Thanks To The Lord, 'For He Is GOOD, For His Steadfast LOVE Endures Forever"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160705 - 2 Chronicles 23:16 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And Jehoiada Made A Covenant Between himself and all the people and the king That they Should Be The Lord's people."....

If you look up the word "covenant" via the Bible Gateway Search Engine, you will find 316 Passages Of the WORD Select references.  Most of these POWS are similar to what God Says to Noah (pre-Flood) in Genesis 6:18 (ESV)...."BUT, I Will Establish My Covenant with you"...and again in Genesis 9:8-9 (post-Flood)...."Then God Said to Noah and his sons with him, "BEHOLD, I Establish My Covenant with you and your offspring after you....."......

I Hear The Holy Spirit pointing out a slight difference in 2 Chronicles 23:16 - that is God's Priest Jehoiada is the one orchestrating this Covenant between himself, the people, and King Joash that they would Be God's people.  As you read 2 Chronicles 23 up to 24:16, this Covenant holds.  BUT as soon as Jehoiada crosses over to Join The Lord, the people and King Joash fall quickly away.

Now, this may very much seem like a discouraging word, versus A Word of Encouragement.....hang with me, we're getting there.....

The Point I Hear The Holy Spirit making with me is this - When we rely on our own human strength and ability to stay true/committed to our Promise, especially to God, human history reflects we just are not good at that.  BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth) - WHEN we RELY upon our Lord Jesus (Rest Ever upon the Lord Yeshua).  Trusting Fully in/on His Covenant with us, via His Sealing His Covenant by His Sacrifice upon His Cross AND His Resurrection from His Tomb.  Then, and only then do we Witness and Understand the Concept of God's Eternal Covenant of Reconciliation and Restoration of our Relationship with Him as Creator to Creation.

Thus my Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise based upon His Holy Inspired Word as Recorded in Psalm 51:1-2, 7-8, 10, 12-13, 15 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Please Have Mercy upon us, O God.  Lord Jesus, According To Your Steadfast Love; According To Your Abundant Mercy Blot Out our transgressions.  Holy Spirit, we Come to You and Ask that You Wash us Thoroughly from our iniquity.  Father God, Please Cleanse us from our sin!   Lord Jesus, In Your Grace, Purge us with hyssop, and we Shall Be Clean.  Holy Spirit, Please Wash us, And we Shall Be Whiter Than snow.  Father God, Let us Hear Your Joy And Gladness; Let the bones That You Have Broken Rejoice In Your Loving and Saving Grace. Lord Jesus, Please Create in us A Clean Heart.  O Father God, Renew A Right spirit Within us.  Holy Spirit, Restore to us The Joy Of Your Salvation.  Lord Jesus, Uphold us With Your Willing Holy Spirit.  Father God, Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, Empower and Embolden us to Share and Teach transgressors, those who Do Not Yet Know Your Ways.  Help us to Reflect You in our Lives that other sinners Will Return To You. O Lord, Open our lips, And our mouths And we Will Declare Your Praise.  In Your Holy Name we Lift Up these Prayers....Amen/Amen....jaj
