PJP2 PROLOG 160730 PROLOG Focus - Job 38:1-3....Topic:  God's Voice

Psalm 30:4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Sing Praises To The Lord, O you His saints, And Give Thanks to His Holy Name."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160730 - Job 38:1-3 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)...."Then The Lord Answered Job Out Of The Whirlwind/Storm And Said: “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without Knowledge?  Dress for action like/brace yourself, like a man; I Will Question you, And you Make it Known to (Answer) ME.'"....

It is interesting to look through His WORD and 'listen in' on the Conversations our Lord has with His saints.  I find particularly fascinating the comparison (and contrast) between YAHWEH's Speaking to Job and HIS Speaking with His Prophet, Elijah AND to Moses.....

1 Kings 19:11-13 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And God Said (to Elijah)....'Go Out And Stand On the mount Before The Lord.'  And BEHOLD, The Lord Passed By, And A Great And Strong Wind tore the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks Before The Lord, BUT The Lord Was NOT In The Wind.  And After The Wind An Earthquake, BUT The Lord Was NOT In The Earthquake.  And After The Earthquake A Fire, BUT The Lord Was NOT In The Fire.  And After The Fire The Sound Of A Low Whisper/A Still Small Voice.  And when Elijah Heard It, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave.  And BEHOLD, There Came A Still Small Voice to him And Said, 'What Are you Doing Here, Elijah?'”....

Exodus 3:2-4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And The Angel of The Lord Appeared to him In A Flame of Fire out of the midst of A Bush.  Moses looked, and BEHOLD, The Bush Was Burning, YET It Was NOT consumed.  And Moses said, 'I will turn aside To See This Great Sight, Why The Bush Is NOT burned.”  When The Lord Saw That Moses turned aside To See, God Called to him Out Of The Bush, 'Moses, Moses!'  And Moses said, 'Here I am.'”....

So I Hear The Holy Spirit noting that with Job, God The Father Spoke to him via A Whirlwind/Storm.  Elijah, though, Heard 'A Still Small Voice' vs The Mighty Wind/Earthquake/Fire.  Yet with Moses, we see that God Approached him via The Burning Bush.  There's also many instances (Jacob and Joseph, our Lord Jesus earthly father for example) where God Spoke to them via A Dream, or Vision.

The Point I Hear The Holy Spirit making with me this morning is BLUF - God Can and Will Speak to us in whatever way He Needs to Get our Attention with.  Be that A Still Small Voice, A Mighty Wind, A Burning Bush, A Giant Fish, A Sea Storm, A Fish-Catch Beyond Belief, or at Times Even His Silence could well be His Speaking to us.

I can attest that He Has (and Does) Frequently Speak to me via Friends, Family and Loved Ones, as well as total strangers, who He Has Inspired to Share His Message Regards a Given Scenario.  I am very certain He is and will continue to do that for all of us.....

BLUF, as He Shares in Psalm 46:10a....."Be Still And Know That I AM God".....

My prayer for us today would simply be - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You and we Praise You.  Lord Jesus, Help us to Pay Attention to Your Detail of all the Circumstances, People and Scenarios that You Cross our Lives Path with.  Holy Spirit, Open our Inner Ears to Listen for Your Still Small Voice.  Father God, Empower and Encourage us to Read and Heed when You've Sent us Your WORD.  O Lord, May we Ever Be a Reflection of You and Your Truth that Will Set us All Free.  In Your Holy Name we Pray....Amen/Amen....jaj
