And in Ecbatana, the citadel that is in the province of Media, A Scroll Was Found on Which This Was Written: 'A Record - In the first year of Cyrus the king, Cyrus the king issued a Decree: Concerning The House Of God at Jerusalem, Let The House BE Rebuilt, The Place where Sacrifices were Offered, And Let ITs Foundations Be Retained. ITs height shall be sixty cubits and ITs breadth sixty cubits, with three layers of great stones and one layer of timber. Let The Cost be paid from the royal treasury. It is simply Amazing to me - here we see clearly that once God's Determined something is going to happen - then, as He Reveals to us in His WORD on every page.....HE WILL quite literally MOVE Heaven and Earth to Ensure His Will IS Accomplished......
AND, God The Father Is STILL doing Just That for us this very day.....
His Holy Spirit really summarizes what's rolling around in my noggin' this morning far better than the piddly words I'd toss out.....
Romans 8:31-39 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."What Then Shall we say to these things? IF God IS For us, who can Be against us? HE Who Did NOT Spare HIS Own Son BUT Gave Him Up For us all, HOW Will HE NOT Also With Him Graciously Give us ALL things? Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? IS Is God Who Justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus IS The ONE Who Died—MORE Than That, Who Was RAISED—Who Is At The Right Hand Of God, Who Indeed IS Interceding For us. Who shall separate us from the LOVE Of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As It Is Written, 'For your Sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.' NO, In ALL these things we ARE More Than Conquerors THROUGH HIM Who LOVED us. For I am Sure That Neither death nor life, Nor angels Nor rulers, Nor things present Nor things to come, Nor powers, Nor height Nor depth, Nor anything else In ALL Creation, will be able to separate us From The LOVE Of God IN Christ Jesus our Lord."....
My Prayer for us today.....In light of the recent tragedies all across our world, I would offer up a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise using His WORD from 2 Corinthians 1:3-7 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Blessed Be The God And Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father God, Who Is Also The Father Of Mercies And The One and Only God Of All True Peace and Comfort. Lord Jesus, It Is You Who Comforts us In ALL our affliction. Holy Spirit, Teach us as well to be Able To Comfort those who are suffering in any affliction, With Your Comfort. Father God, Help us to Understand and Share that Which By Your Comfort, That we ourselves are Comforted By, You Too Can Comfort even those who Do Not Yet Know You, O God. Lord Jesus, as we muddle through, even as we perhaps Share Abundantly in Your Righteous Sufferings, May we Also, Lord Jesus, Through You, Share Abundantly In Your Comfort. Holy Spirit, When we, or those around us, Are afflicted, Open our Inner Eyes that It Is Your Comfort And Salvation that we Lean Upon. Father God, If and When we Are Comforted, IT Is For Your Comfort, Which we Experience When we Patiently Endure The Same Sufferings That we Suffer. Father God, Even in the midst of the darkest hour, or most violent storm, May our HOPE For You Ever Remain Steadfast and Immovable. O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, For we Know That as we Share In Your Sufferings, we Will Also Share In Your Comfort."
May His Word of Hope, Love, and Comfort bring Peace and Comfort to our world today. In His Name we Worship and Pray...Amen/Amen....jaj
