PJP2 THANKS TEXT 160730 - Job 38:36-38, 41 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."(And God Asked Job)....'Who Has Put Wisdom in the inward parts Or Given Understanding to the mind? Who Can Number the clouds By Wisdom? Or Who Can Tilt the water-skins of the heavens, When the dust runs into a mass And the clods stick fast together?....Who Provides for the raven its prey, When its young ones Cry to God For HELP, And wander about for lack of food?'"....
As we read through Job 38-41, God The Father really 'grills' Job. Though I am certain this one-way conversation between YAHWEH and Job had to be somewhat uncomfortable for Job - still these four chapters of The Holy Spirit's Inspired Writing found in Job provide us a LOT to Be Thankful for....Clearly, as we look at the overall Question God's Asking...."WHO?", the Answer is obvious.....God The Father is WHO! I am Thankful that we can Benefit from Job's experience and know that we too, even in the midst of any/all challenges, we too can recognize by multi-faceted means, The God of Job, is The God of Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Joseph, and Jesus. We can also Be Thankful that God The Father, as He Did with Job, He does Now for us in Providing us His Wisdom, His Understanding, His Provision for us.
My Prayer of Thanks for us today would begin by Sharing Nehemiah 9:6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....“You Are The Lord, You Alone. You Have Made Heaven, The Heaven of Heavens, With All their Host, the earth And All That Is on it, The seas And All That Is In them; And YOU Preserve All of them; And the Host of Heaven Worships You." Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy and Saving Grace. Lord Jesus, Like Your servant Job, help us to Come to You with All our Prayers. Holy Spirit, Open our Inner Minds to Your Workings within, around and through us. Father God, May we Grasp Your Wisdom and Understanding and Know that You Make These readily accessible to us. May we, Lord Jesus, Share Your WORD. In Your Holy Name we Lift Up these Prayers....Amen and Amen....jaj
