PJP2 PROLOG POST - 170102 - WAY - Genesis 3:21-24 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And The Lord God Made For Adam and for his wife Garments Of Skins And Clothed them. Then The Lord God Said, “BEHOLD, the man Has Become Like One Of Us In Knowing Good and evil. NOW, lest he reach out his hand and take also of The Tree Of LIFE and eat, and live forever—” Therefore The Lord God Sent him out From The Garden Of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He Drove Out the man, And At The East Of The Garden Of Eden He Placed The Cherubim And A Flaming Sword That Turned Every Way To Guard The WAY To The Tree Of LIFE."....
This may seem like an odd set of POWS to share via today's PJP2 PROLOG POST 170102....bear with me for just a moment.
What I Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing with me, in One WORD is GRACE. You may be asking about now....ok HOW are you seeing GRACE in Genesis 3:21-24?????
Great question - thanks for asking.
The obvious Revelation of GRACE is God The Father Making Clothing for His now lost children. If you look back at Genesis 3:7, Adam and Eve had quickly 'sewn' fig-leaves together to hastily make all-natural clothing for themselves. Talk about going 'green', I'm certain the first 'coverings' were not Overall fashion statements. Before He sends Adam/Eve out into the now sin-stained world, He Makes sure they are properly protected.
The next Revelation of GRACE is perhaps a bit more subtle. In fact I'm certain I've heard this Concept shared by Brother Bob Ingle as well. On the surface, God The Father 'driving' Adam and Eve out of The Garden Of Eden (GOE) may seem simply a continuation of His Discipline for their disobedience. The Revelation of GRACE, though, is God The Father's Looking Ahead - Meaning, IF He Had Left mankind In The GOE, sooner or later we would have consumed Fruit from The Tree Of Life. That would have to equated to us being sin-filled, and separated from God The Father FOREVER. If you Think about it, God The Father could readily has Shared with us that His Discipline of us due to our disobedience, would indeed, to effectively Reconcile our Relationship With Him, Would Hurt and Cost Him More that we could ever imagine.
Bottom-Line/Up-Front (BLUF) - His Holy Spirit, as He Always Does, Shares it Best by His Inspired WORD, as Recorded by Paul in Ephesians 2:1-10 (ESV)...."And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."....
Thus my Prayer for us today would be simply - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You For Your Amazing Love and GRACE. Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Life, Sacrifice and Resurrection, Providing us Both A Bridge to Be Saved, and A Living Example of Living with You. Holy Spirit, Renew us Today and Forever, Helping us Walk In Your WAY. Father God, May we Ever Reflect Your Forgiveness and Share Your Story in our Word, Thoughts and Deed. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers....Amen and Amen....jaj
