PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161207 - ANGEL - Hebrews 13:1-2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Let Brotherly LOVE Continue. Do NOT neglect To Show Hospitality to strangers, For Thereby some Have Entertained ANGELs unawares.".... Today we've been pondering God's ANGELs. It struck me, as we reviewed Luke 2:8-14, that the shepherds were 'blindsided' by the Appearance of first The ANGEL Spokesperson, then Overwhelmed by the Hosts of Heaven. I wonder if it ever crossed their thoughts to question if These Were God's Messengers or not? I mean we Hear His Holy Spirit's Warning via His Inspired WORD as Recorded in 1 John 4:1-6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Beloved, Do NOT Believe every spirit, BUT TEST the spirits To See Whether they Are From God, For many false prophets have gone out into the world. By THIS you KNOW The Spirit Of God: Every Spirit That Confesses That Jesus Christ Has Come In The flesh IS From God, AND every spirit That Does NOT Confess Jesus IS NOT from God. THIS is the spirit of the antichrist, which you Heard was coming And Now Is in the world already. Little children, you Are From God And Have Overcome them, For HE WHO IS IN you IS GREATER Than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We Are From God. Whoever Knows God Listens to us; whoever Is NOT from God Does NOT Listen to us. By THIS we KNOW The Spirit Of TRUTH And the spirit of error.".... Now, interesting to note, God's ANGELs Nailed This Acid Test for Proving They Were From God The Father..... .... "Fear NOT, For BEHOLD, I Bring you Good News Of Great JOY That Will Be For ALL the people. For Unto you Is Born This Day in the city of David A Savior, WHO IS Christ The Lord." So....The Point I'm Hearing The Holy Spirit Share with me this morning is two-fold....(1) Hospitality: Part of our Reflection of The Lord Jesus Being Within us is our Hospitality towards one another, as well as towards The Stranger; (2) Be Aware: At the same time, though, I Hear Him Saying to Be Aware and Listen to Him....Keep our Focus on our Lord Jesus, He Will Ever Ensure our Hearing His WORD and TRUTH especially during the challenging days we find ourselves in..... My Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise from The Holy SPirit's Inspired WORD as Recorded in 1 Peter 4:7-11 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Raise up our Prayers and our Praise in Your Perfect and Holy Name. Lord Jesus, as we Know, The End Of All things seems to be at hand. Therefore, O Lord, Help us to Be Self-controlled And Sober-minded For Your Sake, and In our Prayers to You. Holy Spirit, Above All, Help us to Be Faithful and To Keep Loving one another Earnestly. Father God, Teach us In Your LOVE, Since Your LOVE Covers a multitude, in face ALL of our sins. Lord Jesus, Guide us In Your Steps, and Help us to Show Hospitality to one another without grumbling. Holy Spirit, as You Have Given, and each of us have Received Your Gift, Help us to Use Them to Serve one another, As Good Stewards of God The Father's Varied GRACE. Lord Jesus, For whoever Speaks Your WORD to others, Help them as one who Speaks The Very Oracles Of God The Father. Holy Spirit, For whoever Serves, may they Serve As one who Serves By The Very Strength That You supply. Father God, In ALL Your Gifts to us, Through Your Holy Spirit, May They All Be In Order That In Everything You May Be Glorified, and All THROUGH Your Son Jesus Christ Within us.
