PJP2 PROLOG - 161201 - PROLOG Focus: Matthew 8:8-12........WORD - Psalm 56:10 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."In God, Whose WORD I Praise, In The Lord, Whose WORD I Praise,".... PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161201 - WORD - Matthew 8:8-13 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT The Centurion replied, 'Lord, I am Not worthy To Have You Come under my roof, BUT Only Say The WORD, and my servant Will Be Healed. For I too am a man Under Authority, with soldiers under me. And I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes, and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.' When Jesus Heard this, He Marveled And Said to those who Followed Him, 'Truly, I Tell you, With NO one in Israel Have I Found Such FAITH. I Tell you, many Will Come From East And West And Recline at table With Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob In The Kingdom Of Heaven, While the sons of the kingdom Will Be thrown into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' And To The Centurion Jesus Said, 'GO; Let It Be DONE For you As you Have BELIEVED.' And the servant Was Healed At That Very Moment.".... "Just Say The WORD."....."GO; Let It Be DONE"..... I have always marveled at this story of our Lord's First Advent. There's just so very much packed into this short Passage Of the WORD Select (POWS). As I have shared in prior PJP2s, I am very much drawn to The Centurion's character. Most likely it is partly because of having myself been in the Armed Forces, there's simply a natural bond that's formed. BUT in these POWS, and today's PJP2 Series' FOCUS on WORD, I Hear the Holy Spirit drawing me towards The Centurion's four WORDs and our Lord Jesus' five WORD reply.... Wow! I mean, think with me a moment, here's The Centurion, a Representative of Rome, one, that in reality you would think would either have exhausted the conventional Medics of the day, or turned to the plethora of Roman gods, even appealing to Caesar (a self-proclaimed 'god') for help. Perhaps he has, God's WORD doesn't Share that with us. BUT clearly The Centurion DID BELIEVE and HAD FAITH that our Lord Jesus Was Able to Simply "Say The WORD" and whatever our Lord Jesus Commanded to Occur, That Action was a Done Deal. I also Hear His Holy Spirit Noting that our Lord Jesus Always Responds to our FAITH. Time and again we see that in His Story that an individual's FAITH drew a Response from Jesus. I Know This Principle Is STILL True us even still today. So....Whatever Challenges you may be facing....Whatever road-bumps, storms, or mountains may be looming right in front of you - Know This: God's ROCK, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit Working Within us - IF we BELIEVE in Him and that He Has our Best Interest In His Heart and have FAITH In Him and His Will for our LIVES....He Too Will Say to us...."GO; Let It Be DONE"..... My Prayer for us Today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Praise and Worship You! Lord Jesus, Teach us Your Truth via Your Interaction with The Centurion. Holy Spirit, Help us and Strengthen our FAITH in You. Father God, we Do Believe, Help us in our disbelief. Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers in Your Holy Name....Amen and Amen....jaj
