PJP2 “7 PRAISES” - 161211 - SEEKERS (Part 1) SEEKERS: Sinners Seeking Ever the Eternal KING of kings Elicits (God's) Reconciliation/Salvation Just 14 days, two-weeks, until Christmas Day 2016. Our Nudging to Nativity brings us today to consider and ponder The SEEKERS of our Lord Jesus at His First Advent. Who is it that The Holy Spirit Inspired Matthew and Luke to Share with us that came looking for The Baby Jesus? Well we know for certain The Shepherds and The Wise Guys were recognized SEEKERS. It is interesting that you had the lowest of the low (The Shepherds) and perhaps the wisest of the wise Being SEEKERS after our Lord Jesus. Though we won't deal with King Herod in this PJP2 Entry, he too, was a SEEKER, BUT for all the wrong reasons - More on that tomorrow in SEEKERS Part 2.... Then we could, I suppose include Joseph/Mary and The Angel(s), though they all Knew our Lord Jesus was Coming, and where He was....BUT, Still, in a way, They too, were SEEKERS of Him. Joseph/Mary could well symbolize us, the common 'Joe' being chosen By God The Father for His Mission that He Knew both of them were Perfect for. The Angels, well you can't get much Higher than them....The Next Level (which is of course the Top Level) would Be God The Father Himself.....And He Knew Exactly Where and Who Jesus was (and Is)..... So......what's all that mean to us? In fact Here's an Interesting Passage Of the WORD Select that The Holy Spirit brought to LIGHT this morning..... Genesis 37:15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And a man found him wandering in the fields. And the man asked him, “What are you SEEKING?”..... I Hear The Holy Spirit Asking us the very Same Question...."Jeff (or fill-in-your-name), WHAT Are you SEEKING?" Thus, this is the Question I've been Pondering On this morning as I work on this PJP2 Entry.... What I'm finding in Today's Pondering is The Holy Spirit's Revelation of what I am SEEKING via His WORD..... Deuteronomy 4:29-31 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT from there you Will SEEK The Lord your God AND you Will Find Him, IF you SEARCH After Him With ALL your Heart And With ALL your Soul. When you are in tribulation, and all these things come upon you in the latter days, you Will Return To The Lord your God And OBEY His Voice. For The Lord your God IS A Merciful God. He Will NOT leave you OR destroy you OR forget The Covenant with your fathers That He Swore to them.".... Psalm 40:16 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT May ALL who SEEK you Rejoice And Be Glad In You; May those who LOVE Your Salvation say continually, 'Great Is The Lord!'”.... Matthew 13:45-46 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Jesus Said to them, 'Again, The Kingdom Of Heaven IS Like a merchant in SEARCH of Fine Pearls, who, On Finding ONE PEARL Of Great Value, Went And Sold ALL that he had And Bought IT.'".... So....in Today's Prelude Summary - I am indeed SEEKING Him With ALL my Heart and Soul. Indeed, IF you have Not Yet Begun This Journey, He is Calling To you Still Today to Mount Up and Come, Follow Him. IF you are on This Journey as well, May His Encouragement and Empowerment Ever Carry you Upward and Onward.....As C.S. Lewis wrote in The Chronicles of Narnia - "The Last Battle", “I have come home at last! This is my real country! I belong here. This is the land I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it till now...Come further up, come further in!” My PJP2 Prelude Prayer for us today would be a paraphrase of Prayer and Praise, perhaps a WORD for All we SEEKERS......Psalm 22:26 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj).... O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Praise and Worship You. Lord Jesus, Thank You for Your Saving Grace. Holy Spirit, Open our Inner Eyes as we Ever SEEK After You and Your Way for us. Father God, Even when we are afflicted, often by our own selfishness, Still By Your Grace You Feed us, and we Eat Of Your WORD, and You Satisfy our Inner Need. Lord Jesus, May those who SEEK You, Find You, and Lift Up Your Praise, O Lord! May our Hearts LIVE With You Now and Forever! In Your Holy Name, O Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers....Amen and Amen....jaj
