PJP2 THANKS TEXT - 16110910 - HISTORIC - 1 Peter 3:8-9 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...." Finally, all of you, Have Unity of Mind, Sympathy, Brotherly LOVE, A Tender Heart, And A Humble Mind. Do NOT repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, BUT On The Contrary, BLESS, For To This you Were Called, That you May Obtain A Blessing.".... Goodness, hard to believe we have entered into another Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Year Holiday Season. So very, very much to be Thankful for. As we ponder here on recent events, The Holy Spirit has been brining 1 Peter 3:8-9 more and more into focus.....As I've been considering this POWS, permit me to share a few thoughts I am Thankful for.... Unity of Mind: Not that we we'll always agree or think the exact same thought, BUT that we are Anchored and Unified In Him, our Lord Jesus Christ, and He Is Always The SAME Sympathy: To ever be open to bear one another's burdens, As He Bore our sin Brotherly LOVE: God Is LOVE....this will ever be our Best Reflection of Him in our Lives Tender Heart: Even in His Discipline of us to Improve/Transform us, His Tender Heart is Ever Evident in God's Approach toward His children. May we Always take a similar track Humble Mind: As His WORD teaches, 'pride goes before a fall'.....Following our Lord's Example, He was Humble - Humbleness is NOT equal to weakness.....Humbleness Reflects Reality that He (and we) Are Very In Tune with God The Father IS IN Full Control Lastly, today, I am so very Thankful for God's Blessings and The Impact of His Blessing on our Lives....which is for us to BLESS others. And The Guidance is CLEAR, when we BLESS others, God The Father Blesses us. Don't hear what I am not saying....not saying we BLESS or Give so that we will Be Blessed or get.....Nope....not my point at all. No....once more let's come back to our Lord's Living Example..... Hebrews 12:2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Looking To Jesus, The Founder And Perfecter of our FAITH, Who For The JOY That Was Set Before Him Endured The Cross, Despising the shame, And Is Seated At The Right Hand Of The Throne Of God.".... Thus our Lord Jesus Provided us the Living Proof that to Bless others IS the Way we Live. God The Father takes care of the rest, including Giving His Blessing upon us Because of His Love for us. So my Prayer of Thanks for today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise based on His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD as recorded in Psalm 21.....(Psalm 21:1, 3, 5-7, 13/ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Worship and Praise You. We Thank You Lord, for In Your Strength we Rejoice! Father God, Your Gift of Salvation is Amazing Grace, and In You, O Lord, we Greatly Exult Your Name! Holy Spirit, we are Humbled in How You Meet us, Providing us Your Rich Blessings of Grace, Love, Mercy and Light. Lord Jesus, we Are In Awe, for By Your Life, Sacrifice and Resurrection, You Have Promised that our Faith in You will be as a crown of fine gold Upon us. Father God, Your Glory Is Great! Holy Spirit, Thank You and Help us to Reflect That Through Your Gift of Salvation comes Your Blessing of Splendor. Lord Jesus, May Your Majesty Bestow Understanding to us To Ever Walk In Your WAY of Humbleness, Unity of Mind with You, Sympathy, Tender Heartedness and above all, Brotherly LOVE. Father God, Thank You for Your Eternal Blessings upon us. Lord Jesus, Thank You, for in You we Are Glad With The JOY Of Your Presence. Holy Spirit, we Do Trust In You, O Lord. Father God, Through The Presence of Your Steadfast LOVE In us, we Shall NOT Be Moved. Be Exalted, O Lord Jesus, In Your Strength! We Will Ever Sing And Praise Your Holy Name and Power.
