PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161123 - BEAN - 1 Peter 3:8-9 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Finally, All of you, Have Unity of Mind, Sympathy, Brotherly LOVE, A Tender Heart, And A Humble Mind. Do NOT repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, BUT On The Contrary, BLESS, For To This you Were Called, That you May Obtain A BLESSING."..... God The Father's Circle of BLESSINGS.....His Holy Spirit, Working Within, Around and Through us, Blessing us with His Abundant LIFE, Does Just That so that we can 'Pay Forward' by Being God's BLESSING in others LIVES. As we continue on down this Road of LIFE, His TRUTH and PURPOSE for our LIVES does, Little-by-Little, begin to clarify in FOCUS and VECTOR. Now, please don't hear what I am not saying - not saying that's our Having "Unity of Mind, Sympathy, Brotherly LOVE, A Tender Heart, And A Humble Mind" is an easy task....No, not at all. As we've witnessed in our Presidential Election/2016, these Characteristics seem few and far between. Nor am I saying that it's a 'natural human response' to BLESS when someone's been evil, cruel or wicked towards us. One could say, especially it seems of late, that our human fellows seem further from demonstrating this concept than ever before. BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH), Praise God our HOPE is NOT in mankind. Our HOPE Resides on God's ROCK, His One and Only Son, our Lord Jesus. As The Holy Spirit Inspired Paul to write in Philippians 4:13 (ESV)...."I Can Do ALL Things In/Through Him Who Strengthens me.".... So, May we Each Be Open and Remember, our Lord Jesus Can and Will Work and Apply His Transformation of us In Alignment with His Own LIFE, and The End Result Will Be that As He BLESSES us, we Will Be Empowered to BLESS others. Amen. My Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise based on His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD to Paul as Recorded in Titus 2:11-14 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You and Praise You for Your Love and Blessings. O Lord, Open our Hearts that we May Be witnessed for You that Your GRACE Has Appeared for all mankind. Holy Spirit, Thank You for Bringing God The Father's Plan Of Salvation For All people to us via our Lord Jesus' LIFE, Sacrifice and Resurrection. Father God, Continue Training us To Renounce ungodliness and worldly passions. Lord Jesus, Help us to Live Self-Controlled, Upright, And Godly Lives in the present age. Holy Spirit, Calm our anxious Souls as we Wait For God The Father's BLESSED HOPE, The Appearing Of The Glory Of our Great God And Savior Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, Thank You - For It Is You, and You Alone, Who Gave Himself Up For us To REDEEM us From all lawlessness And To Purify For Yourself A people For Your Own Possession. Father God, Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, Encourage and Empower us to Be Zealous For Your Good Works and To Reflect You Ever in our Every Thought, Word and Action. In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise.....Amen and Amen....jaj
