PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161103 - SAME - Psalm 102:25-28 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Of Old You Laid The Foundation of the earth, And The Heavens Are The Work Of Your Hands. They will perish, BUT You Will Remain; they Will All Wear Out like a garment. You Will Change them Like a robe, And they will pass away, but You Are The SAME, And Your Years Have no end. The children of Your servants shall Dwell Secure; their offspring Shall Be Established Before You."..... Well, basically 5 days left before our U.S. General Election 2016. One thing for certain, the 'winds of change' are blowing, one way or the other, things will change. In fact, as we all know, every day we live is indeed a day of change. Nothing in our lives as humans, remains the SAME from one day to the next. I'd even be so bold to say that moment to moment our existence is all about change. Now some would say that's a bit disconcerting. Like our feline friends, we do NOT necessarily like change - we like things remaining constant, known, fixed in place. Perhaps it has something to do with control. Perhaps we begin to think, especially if we've placed the 'thing' in motion, then as long as the 'thing' maintains our steady course, we delude ourselves into thinking it is us who has the control of any change that comes about. Yet, as stated in Psalm 102:25-28, the constancy in our lives is indeed one of change, of passing away, of transformation. It is indeed a reality, with my recent retirement and God's Next Adventure not yet clearly in view, that I've been dealing with these past few months. Yep, each of us need A ROCK that we can cling to in the ever-swirling mist of time-passing..... Voila'......God Provides us His Eternal Consistency...., 1 Samuel 2:2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....“There Is None Holy Like The Lord: For There Is None Besides You; There Is No ROCK Like our God.".... In a Word....OUTSTANDING! Look once more at our POWS for today....Psalm 102:25-28, much like Hebrews 13:8, helps us see that even as time marches along, God The Father, His Holy Spirit and His Son, our Lord Jesus REMAIN as That ROCK, That CONSTANT that we all so desperately desire. And Know This, There Is ROOM on God's ROCK for All of us.....All we need do is The Three Rs....Relinquish, Return and Repent of our selfish/sinful way. God Will Do The Rest..... Thus my Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy and Amazing Grace. Lord Jesus, Open our Inner Eyes and Heart to See and Receive You. Holy Spirit, Plant our Feet Firmly On Your ROCK of Salvation. Father God May we Ever Be Your Witness of Your Constancy and Consistency in Your Effort to Seek us and Bring us Back To You and Your Love. Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers to You in Your Holy Name.
