For His Anger Is But For A Moment, And His Favor/Grace Is For A Lifetime. Weeping may tarry for the night, BUT JOY Comes With The Morning.".... PJP2 PROLOG POST - 161103 - CUBS - Hebrews 9:11-15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT When Christ Appeared As A High Priest Of The Good Things That Have Come, Then Through The Greater And More Perfect Tent NOT made with hands, That Is, NOT of this creation He Entered Once For ALL Into The Holy Places, NOT by means of the blood of goats and calves BUT By Means Of His Own Blood, THUS Securing An Eternal Redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, How Much MORE Will The Blood Of Christ, Who Through The Eternal Spirit Offered Himself without blemish To God, Purify our Conscience from dead works To Serve The Living God. Therefore He Is The Mediator Of A New Covenant, SO That Those who are Called May Receive The Promised Eternal Inheritance, Since A Death Has Occurred THAT Redeems them from the transgressions committed Under The First Covenant.".... I just had a scene run through my 'noggin....A man is standing at the Pearly Gates awaiting approval for his to Enter through. Saint Peter is checking the roster and says to the man, "Sorry, Brother, I don't seem to find your name in God's Book of Life." The man hums and stammers how he just can't believe he's not there! He starts listing all the works he accomplished, the Souls he helped Save, the churches he built and maintained, on and on he goes. Saint Peter Graciously and Patiently listens to the man's litany of the man's earthly life. The man finally says, "Saint Peter, Sir, could you check just one-more-time?" Saint Peter agrees, and once more reviews page by page this enormous tome. What seems an Eternity passes, Saint Peter finally looks up again and repeats, "I am so sorry but no joy." Now the man is completely distraught. He falls to his knees and exclaims, "For The Love of Jesus Christ, what else must I do?" Saint Peter pauses and queries the man, "What did you just say?" The man looks up sheepishly and replies, "Sorry. I just said, 'For The Love of Jesus Christ...." Saint Peter stops him, reaches out a hand and says, "Why didn't you say that in the first place! Welcome, Brother, for indeed It Is The Love of Jesus Christ that Opens These Gates for you." Now I am fairly certain our presentation before God The Father's Judgment Throne will not favor this fictitious scene at all. In fact I kinda think what it will be like is: First there we'll be, us, by ourselves, in this Celestial Courtroom, no one else in the 'docket'. On 'the Bench', God The Father; His Holy Spirit as the Courtroom Officer; the evil one will be the prosecutor; our Defense Attorney will be our Lord Jesus, God's Only Son. The evil one will present his case against us, and horror of horrors, his case will all be True, every word. Once he's done throwing us under the bus, without even one objection from our Lord Jesus. God The Father will turn to us and say, "Defendant - What's your plea?" There will be a silence in the courtroom that is like none other we have ever heard. Then our Lord Jesus will Stand, Reveal His Nail-Pierced Hands and Feet, along with His Pierced Side and Say, "Your Honor, my client pleads guilty to all charges. BUT, Your Honor, I would Once and For ALL offer My Blood and Love to Cover him. I would Ask, Your Honor, In Light of My Shed Blood, that he be Redeemed and Reconciled to You." God The Father will ponder this for just a moment. He will slow nod in agreement, pound the Gavel of His Grace and Say, "(Jeremiah 33:6-9 {ESV/Emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)}.... BEHOLD, I Will Bring To this sinner Health And Healing, And I Will Heal them And Reveal to them Abundance Of Prosperity And Security. I Will Restore and Rebuild them as they were at first. I Will Cleanse them From ALL the guilt of their sin against Me, And I Will Forgive ALL the guilt of their sin and rebellion against me. And this sinner Shall Be To Me A Name Of JOY, A Praise And A Glory Before ALL the nations of the earth who Shall Hear Of ALL The GOOD That I DO for them. They Shall FEAR And Tremble Because Of ALL The GOOD And All The Prosperity I Provide For them.".... Oh How I long for that Day. In light of all the challenges of late, the tension, the apparent hate and discord running rampant in our globe, it is pleasant to consider His Coming. BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth), I also Know that PRIOR to this ever coming to pass, there is still yet much to do in our world. And we DO indeed have a Mission, His Mission, to Share His Story of Love, Mercy, Light and Grace. So, as the story above Reflects, we will indeed all one day have our chance to stand Before God The Father - My Prayer would be that His Holy Spirit Empower and Reminds us to Claim, our Lord Jesus' Love and Blood as our Sure Defense. BUT also, My Prayer would Be that we be Open To our Lord Jesus, God The Father and His Holy Spirit, to Ever Reflect and Share His Story to Encourage our Fellow Family of the Faith and Draw Near those who have Not Yet Come to Him as Savior. Let me close with this POWS.....Jeremiah 33:2-3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....“Thus Says The Lord Who Made the earth, The Lord Who Formed it to establish it—The Lord Is His Name: 'Call To Me And I Will Answer you, And Will Tell you Great And Hidden Things That you Have Not Known."....
