PJP2 “7 PRAISES” - 16111617 - UNITE UNITE: United Now In Truth with Emmanuel Team PJP2....I will not deny the recent events since our election day just over a week ago has been both disconcerting as well as challenging. I have, as I am sure you have as well, been lifting up Prayers for our Nation, and our Leadership, as well as our Fellow Americans. Regardless of our differences, I have been Praying for God's Presence, His Wisdom and Guidance, as well as His Peace to Reign in our Hearts. Today I am Hearing His Holy Spirit Remind me of our Unity with Him. Think with me, for just a moment, as we Remember what it must have been like for our Lord Jesus' disciples when The Reality of His First Advent's Mission (that is for Him To Be The Once and For All Sacrifice for our sins AND for Him To Defeat/Destroy death's grip on us by His Resurrection) hit home. I have to think, if it were me, I'd have been in totally confusion and fear. The Lord's WORD of Comfort and Promise would have flown right past me. I would be seeing and hearing the angry populace who'd just murdered my Leader, now turning their attention to string me up for I had Followed and Proclaimed Him Lord and Messiah! I would have seen a target on my back, and trying to find a way to escape. Faith, Trust, Hope would, I am certain, all be cloudy concepts in light of the apparent darkness that had eclipsed any Belief of His Sovereignty and Divinity. BUT Praise our Lord Jesus and His Full Understanding of mankind. As He Prepared His disciples, so Has He Prepared us for These Challenging Times...... John 16:7, 13-14(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Nevertheless, I Tell you The Truth: It Is To your Advantage That I Go Away, For If I Do NOT Go Away, The Helper Will Not Come to you. BUT If I Go, I Will Send Him To you. When The Spirit Of Truth Comes, He Will Guide you Into All The Truth, For He Will Not Speak On His Own Authority, BUT Whatever He Hears He Will Speak, And He Will Declare To you The Things That Are To Come. He Will Glorify Me, For He Will Take What Is Mine And Declare It To you.".... 1 Corinthians 6:17 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT he who Is Joined To The Lord Becomes One Spirit With Him.".... 2 Corinthians 1:21-22(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And It is God Who Establishes us With you In Christ, And Has Anointed us, And Who Has Also Put His Seal On us And Given us His Spirit In our Hearts As A Guarantee.".... Thus, I am Reminded, as we'll see in just a moment in His WORD to us as Recorded in Galatians 5:16-23, His Spirit's FRUIT within us is Clear to all who observe us. The spirit of darkness fruit is also seen.....My Prayer would be that we would choose His Spirit's Fruit as that Fruit to which we'd long to bear..... Galatians 5:16-23 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."BUT I say, Walk By The Spirit, And you Will Not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against The Spirit, And The Desires Of The Spirit Are Against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. BUT If you Are Led By The Spirit, you Are Not Under The Law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things Will Not Inherit The Kingdom of God. BUT The FRUIT Of The Spirit Is Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control; against Such Things There Is No Law.".... Thus, Team, my Overall Prayer for us today would be....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Help us, O Lord Jesus, to Seek You and Your Way in All we Think, Say and Do. Holy Spirit, May we Ever Bear Your FRUIT of Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self-Control. Father God, Encourage and Empower us to Be Your ambassadors of Peace and Grace to our world. Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers in Your Holy Name.....Your Will, Lord, Be Done....Amen and Amen....jaj
