PJP2 PROLOG POST - 160929 - G(GNN)N - Today's PROLOG POST 160929 simply shares God's GOOD NEWS as told by our Lord Jesus, during His First Advent Adventure here among us.....Our Lord Jesus used Isaiah 61:1-4 as His Statement of Purpose - or in our modern vernacular, His Mission Statement....(Check out Luke Chapter 4)....Thus, without further delay....Here is The Mission Statement of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Isaiah 61:1-4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."The Spirit of The Lord God IS Upon Me, Because The Lord Has Anointed Me To Bring GOOD NEWS to the poor; He Has Sent Me To Bind Up The brokenhearted, To Proclaim Liberty to the captives, And The Opening of the prison to those who are bound; To Proclaim The Year of The Lord's Favor (Mercy/Grace), And The Day of Vengeance of our God; To Comfort ALL who mourn; To Grant to those who mourn in Zion— To Give them a Beautiful Headdress instead of ashes, The Oil of Gladness instead of mourning, The Garment of Praise instead of a faint spirit; THAT they May Be Called Oaks of Righteousness, The Planting of The Lord, THAT He May Be Glorified. They Shall Build Up the ancient ruins; they Shall Raise Up the former devastations; they Shall Repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations."....
Thus my Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Mission Statement. Lord Jesus, Help us, as Your Household of HOPE, to be Open to Your Mission Statement, Like Your Seed of Grace, let it Grow Within our Hearts and Become our own Statement of Purpose in our Lives. Holy Spirit, Guide us and Teach us, as well, to Follow In Your Steps. Father God, Empower and Embolden us to Share Your GOOD NEWS with ALL those who Do Not Yet Know You as Lord and Savior. Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise in Your Holy Name....Amen and Amen....jaj
