PJP2 PROLOG POST - 160920 - TREESx2 (#8 BLUF) - Today's PROLOG POST 160920 looks at a progression of two Concepts that Meld Into One by our Lord Jesus' being hung upon His TREE.....Check it out.....

Numbers 21:8-9 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And The Lord Said to Moses, 'Make a fiery serpent And set it On A Pole, And everyone who is bitten, When he Sees it, Shall LIVE.'  So Moses made a bronze serpent And set it on A Pole.  And if a serpent bit anyone, he Would Look at the bronze serpent And LIVE."....

Deuteronomy 21:22-23 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."(God Said)....'And if a man has committed a crime punishable by death and he is put to death, and you hang him on a TREE, his body shall not remain all night on the tree, BUT you shall bury him the same day, for a hanged man is cursed by God. You shall not defile your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance.'"....

Galatians 3:13-14 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Christ Redeemed us From the curse of The Law By Becoming A Curse for us—For It Is Written, 'Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a TREE'— SO That In Christ Jesus The Blessing of Abraham Might Come To the Gentiles, SO That we Might Receive The Promised Spirit Through FAITH."....

Which brings us to our Lord Jesus' statement.....

John 3:10-15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Jesus Answered Nicodemus, 'Are you the teacher of Israel And Yet you do Not Understand these things?  Truly, Truly, I Say to you, we Speak of What We Know, And Bear Witness To What We Have Seen, BUT you Do NOT Receive Our Testimony.  IF I Have Told you earthly things And you Do Not Believe, How Can you Believe IF I Tell you Heavenly Things?  No one has ascended into heaven Except He Who Descended From Heaven, The Son Of Man.  And As Moses Lifted Up the serpent in the wilderness, SO Must The Son Of Man Be Lifted Up, That whoever Believes In Him May Have Eternal LIFE.'"....

Wow.....what a powerful image!  Every time The Holy Spirit Shares with me this concept that our Lord Jesus IS our Salvation due to His Becoming Cursed by God The Father in payment for our sins, I am simply blown away by the Magnitude of This Scenario.

Here it is, Team, The Bottom-Line/Up-Front - IF you Are of The Household of HOPE in our Lord Jesus, Praise God, you Know His TRUTH.  IF you Are NOT of the Household of HOPE - I would continue to Raise you Up in Prayer.  May His Light, Love, Mercy and Grace be with you, and May His Holy Spirit Bring you to Him, and Soften your Heart to Accept our Lord Jesus as your own Savior, The One Who Became A Curse for you.

My Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Mercy, Love and Amazing Grace.  Lord Jesus, May we Ever Share Your Story as a Reflection of Your Light and Love to those still groping in the darkness of sin.  Holy Spirit, Please Encourage us to Boldly Go Forward and Be Your Witnesses.  Father God, Thank You for Sending Your Son.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, that You Became a Curse for us.  In Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise....Amen and Amen....jaj
