PJP2 PROLOG POST - 160918 - RESCUED (BLUF #6) - Jude 1:17-25 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)..."But you Must Remember, Beloved, The Predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ.  They said to you, 'In The Last Time There Will Be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.'  It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of The Spirit.  BUT you, Beloved, Building yourselves Up In your Most Holy FAITH And Praying In The Holy Spirit, Keep yourselves In The LOVE Of God, Waiting For The MERCY of our Lord Jesus Christ That Leads To Eternal LIFE.  And Have MERCY on those who doubt; SAVE/RESCUE others By Snatching them out of the fire; To others Show MERCY with FEAR, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.  NOW To Him Who Is Able To Keep you from stumbling And To Present you Blameless Before The Presence Of His Glory With Great JOY, To The Only God, our Savior, Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Be Glory, Majesty, Dominion, And Authority, Before All Time And NOW And Forever.  Amen."....

scoffer vs SAVER

What a fascinating comparison - being a medic for my entire adult life, I've often heard the question of first responders, "How or Why are you willing to run into the situation to try and help someone, especially when others are running away from the situation?"

That, Team, is a great question - I wish I could tell you it is because I'm uncommonly brave, or heroic - it is not any of those.  I wish I could share some 'noble notion' with you.  What I can share is a classic John A. "Pops" Johnson response....."Just because."  :)

As we reflect back during the events of 911 (2001) and the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon, and failed attack on the White House - we all have seen the images of the Fire Fighters, EMTs, Police/Law Enforcement running towards and into the crippled buildings.  I would venture to say if you asked any of these folks a similar question, you'd get a resounding...."Just because"....

As our Prolog Post today suggests there will always be 'scoffers' who would say it is pure foolishness to rush towards a collapsing structure, or to run towards a fire-fight, or to Send One Man to Save All of mankind.  BUT just Hear what God The Father has to say about that....

1 Corinthians 1:18-19, 25 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For The WORD Of The Cross is folly to those who are perishing, BUT To us who Are Being SAVED/RESCUED, It Is The Power Of God. For It Is Written, 'I Will Destroy the wisdom of the wise, AND the discernment of the discerning I Will Thwart.”....For The Foolishness Of God IS Wiser than men, AND The Weakness Of God IS Stronger than men."....

One last Pondering - This Passage Of the WORD, Select (POWS) - Jude 1: 17-25 is indeed one of those POWS that His Holy Spirit has begun Sharing with me that Catches my Attention as to Why I am a Medic for The Messiah....."And Have MERCY on those who doubt; SAVE/RESCUE others By Snatching them out of the fire".....

So, my Prayer for us today would be to re-share a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise of the tale end of our POWS from today.....And NOW, Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, To You, Who Is Able To Keep us from stumbling, Please Do.  To You, and You Alone, Who is Able To Present us as Blameless/Cleansed/Redeemed/RESCUED Before The Presence Of God The Father, in Your Glory With Your Great JOY all around us.  To You, our Only God, our Savior, we Bow in Worship and Praise.  Help us, Holy Spirit, to Share Your WORD of GRACE to those still caught in the flames of this evil world's darkness.  Through You, Jesus Christ our Lord, we Pray!  By Your Grace, Father God, May All The Glory, Majesty, Dominion, And Authority, Before All Time And NOW And Forever Be Yours.  In Your Son's Precious and Holy Name we Pray..... Amen And Amen....jaj
