PJP2 PROLOG - 160901 - PROLOG Focus:   Topic: DEEDS

Psalm 107:1-2 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Oh Give Thanks To The Lord, For HE IS GOOD, For His Steadfast LOVE Endures Forever!  Let The Redeemed Of The Lord Say SO, whom HE Has Redeemed from trouble"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST - 160901 - DEEDS - Psalm 107:17-22 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...." Some were fools through their sinful ways, and Because of their iniquities suffered affliction; they loathed any kind of Food, and they drew near to the gates of death.  Then they Cried To The Lord in their trouble, And HE Delivered them from their distress.  He Sent Out HIS WORD And Healed them, And Delivered them from their destruction.  Let them Thank The Lord For HIS Steadfast LOVE, For HIS Wondrous DEEDS/Works to the children of man!  And let them Offer Sacrifices Of Thanksgiving, And Tell Of HIS DEEDS In Songs Of JOY!"....

As we study in Psalm 107 today, it is fascinating to pick-up on the different 'distractions' that have pulled God's people away from Him....Check-it-out....

Psalm 107:4....'some wandered in the desert
Psalm 107:10....'some sat in darkness....prisoners'
Psalm 107:17...'some became fools'
Psalm 107:23....'some went out to sea'

What I Hear The Holy Spirit following this up with is - the 'results' of our following in man's way of selfishness is two-fold....

Psalm 107:33-34 (ESV)...."He (God The Father) turned rivers into a desert, flowing springs into thirsty ground, and fruitful lands into a salt waste....BECAUSE of the wickedness of those who lived there"....

And....Psalm 107:39-40 (ESV)...."Then their numbers decreased, and they were humbled by oppression, calamity and sorrow; HE Who pours contempt on nobles made them wander in a trackless waste"....

BUT (Behold the Underlying TRUTH).....for those of His Household of HOPE, those who have Come to Him, Accepted His Son as Savior, and been Reconciled/Redeemed back to a Right Relationship with Him......See What He DOES for us....

Psalm 107:35-38, 41-42 (ESV)...."He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water. And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish. but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks. The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth."

Now Those are DEEDS worth Noting, Remembering and Sharing with others.

My Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise based on His Holy Spirit's Inspired WORD as Recorded in Psalm 109:26-31 (ESV/emphasis & paraphrase adde/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Raise our Prayer and Praise to You.  Lord Jesus, Help us, O Lord my God!  Holy Spirit, Please Save us According To Your Steadfast LOVE!  Father God, Help us to Reflect Your DEEDS in our Lives and Let those who Do Not Know YOU, That All Your DEEDS/Works in our Lives IS YOUR Hand Upon us.  Yes, O Lord, It Is YOU Who Has Done It All!  Though, Lord they may curse, we Praise You, for You Will Bless!  Lord Jesus, Help us Be Your Witness, for they that reject You will arise, BUT, they will be put to Eternal shame.  Holy Spirit, Because of You in our Lives, we Will Be Glad!  Father God, May those who have turned away from You, who are accusers of The Household of HOPE, may they, if they will NOt Repent, be clothed with dishonor; May they be wrapped in their own shame as in a cloak!  O Lord Jesus, with our mouths we Will Give Great Thanks To The Lord!  We Will Praise Him In The Midst of the throng.  For You, O Lord, You Stand At The Right Hand Of us the needy.  Lord Jesus, Thank You!  Because of Your Sacrifice and Resurrection, You Are The One Who Saves us.  Father God, Thank You, Because of Your Grace, there is no condemnation of our Soul to death.  In Your Precious Name, Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise.  Amen and Amen....jaj
