Psalm 98:1 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Oh Sing To The Lord A New Song, For HE Has Done Marvelous Things!  HIS Right Hand And HIS Holy Arm Have Worked Salvation For HIM."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160829 - (JETS) Psalm 102:18 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Let This Be Recorded For a generation to come, SO That a people Yet To Be Created May Praise The Lord"...

Team, when I read a POWS like Psalm 102:18, I Hear The Holy Spirit whisper, "Jeff, God The Father is Talking about you and your current compatriots.  THIS is 'the generation to come'."....

Wow - that's both exciting as well as frightening!

Then the question hits me - Are we the 'last generation'?  Is there one to follow behind us?

Again, though, The Holy Spirit presents His Compelling WORD for our consideration....

Matthew 24:42-44 (ESV) "Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect."

2 Peter 3:8-10 (ESV) "But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed."

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11 (ESV) "Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. For you are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."

Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV) "And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

BLUF - Doesn't matter IF we are The Last Generation or not - the Point is Still Absolutely the same.....

My Prayer for us today.....Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Loving and Saving Grace.  Lord Jesus, Thank You for Sharing Your WORD with us, giving us Your Primer to Share with others.  Holy Spirit, Help us and Encourage us As Your leaders, to Point The Way to our Lord Jesus as God The Father's Narrow Path to His Salvation.  Father God Empower us with JETS RETURN to Reflect You in All we Say, Think and Do.  Lord Jesus, we Lift Up our Prayers in Your Holy Name....Amen and Amen....jaj
