PJP2 PROLOG 160811 PROLOG Focus - Psalm 37:7, 11, 34.....Topic: MEEK

Psalm 35:27-28 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Let those who Delight In MY Righteousness Shout For Joy And Be Glad And say evermore, 'Great Is The Lord, WHO Delights In The Welfare Of HIS servant!'  Then my tongue Shall Tell Of YOUR Righteousness And Of YOUR Praise all the day long."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160811 - Psalm 37:7, 11, 34 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Be Still Before The Lord And Wait Patiently For HIM; Fret NOT yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!  BUT the meek Shall Inherit The Land And Delight themselves In Abundant Peace. WAIT For The Lord And Keep HIS Way, And HE Will Exalt you To Inherit The Land; you will look on when the wicked are cut off."....

I am always fascinated at what The Holy Spirit points to from day-to-day as I begin to Ponder in Preparation of the upcoming PJP2 Entries.  Today's Focus on - "MEEK", for instance.  I will readily admit that prior to this morning I would say when I've seen the word, "Meek", the mental image that formulates is one of weakness.  I would also have to admit I was a bit surprised when The Holy Spirit Guided me to do a web-search to better define MEEK in our Biblical Context.
Surprise....Surprise.....Surprise!

I would most likely be the last man standing to have thought we'd find what we found in describing MEEK as being "Strength Under Control"....

The Holy Spirit, as Always, goes well beyond the expectation, providing us with Awesome Visual Examples of being MEEK in God's Way....

Isaiah 40:11 (ESV)...."He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young."

Isaiah 53:7 (ESV)...."He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth."

Jeremiah 11:18-19 (ESV)...."The Lord made it known to me and I knew; then you showed me their deeds. But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter. I did not know it was against me they devised schemes, saying, “Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name be remembered no more.”

Acts 8:32-36, 38 (ESV)...."Now the passage of the Scripture that he was reading was this: “Like a sheep he was led to the slaughter and like a lamb before its shearer is silent, so he opens not his mouth. In his humiliation justice was denied him. Who can describe his generation? For his life is taken away from the earth.” And the eunuch said to Philip, “About whom, I ask you, does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?” Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning with this Scripture he told him the good news about Jesus. And as they were going along the road they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “See, here is water! What prevents me from being baptized?” And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him."

BLUF: Matthew 5:5 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."(Jesus Said)....'Blessed Are the meek, For they Shall Inherit the earth.'"....

We know this is True, and when our Lord Jesus Returns for His Second Advent - He Will Inherit God's All.....Come Lord Jesus, Come....

My Prayer for us today would simply be - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God - Thank You for Your Love, Your Mercy and Your Amazing Grace.  Help us Lord Jesus, to Learn from Your Example.  Holy Spirit, Guide us In Your Way of Strength Under Control.  Father God in our Meekness, May we Reflect You and Your Power of Love and Light.  In Your Holy Name, O Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise.....Amen and Amen....jaj
