PJP2 PROLOG POST 160807 -  Psalm 18:28-31(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For It Is YOU Who LIGHT my Lamp; The Lord my God Lightens my darkness.  For By YOU I Can RUN against a troop, And By my God I Can Leap Over A Wall. This God—HIS Way IS Perfect; The WORD Of The Lord Proves TRUE; HE IS A Shield For ALL those who Take REFUGE In HIM. For Who Is God, BUT The Lord?  And Who Is A ROCK, Except our God?"....

For It Is YOU Who LIGHT my Lamp; The Lord my God Lightens my darkness.

What a WORD of Encouragement and Promise for us - regardless of the mountains and storms we may be in the midst of today - He Promises us He is LIGHTING our way

For By YOU I Can RUN against a troop, And By my God I Can Leap Over A Wall.

I always think of playing paintball when I read this Verse.  :) Indeed, though, as we'd expect, there is MUCH MORE God's Engaging in This Promise.  Such a Blessing to Know He Goes With us, Before us, on our Flanks and He, He Himself IS our Very Rear Guard.....God has our SIX well covered

This God—HIS Way IS Perfect;

Amen and Amen

The WORD Of The Lord Proves TRUE;

Time and again our Lord Jesus PROVES that His WORD is Eternally TRUE - we can Ever TRUST Him and His WORD

HE IS A Shield For ALL those who Take REFUGE In HIM.

I continue to gain a New Appreciation for The Importance of This Promise and Truth - Having our Lord Jesus as our Eternal and Ever Present "SHIELD" is....in a word....OUTSTANDING

For Who Is God, BUT The Lord?

Enough said!

And Who Is A ROCK, Except our God?

And the Answer to these two questions are one and the same.....Our Lord Jesus, His Holy Spirit and God The Father, And He/He Alone (AH-HA) IS The Lord our God....

Thus my Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise using His Holy Spirit's Word as Recorded in Psalm 18:28-31(ESV/emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You, For It Is YOU Who LIGHT our Lamp.  Lord Jesus, By Your Grace and Presence, It Is You, O Lord our God, Who Lightens the darkness of this world's way around us.  Father God, Thank You as well, For By YOU we Can RUN against a troop!  Lord Jesus, By You and Your Presence Within us, O Lord, we Can Leap Over A Wall!  O Hear us, o people, Especially those who Do Not Know The Lord Jesus, His Holy Spirit, and God The Father - Indeed This God, The God of Creation, The Father of All—HIS Way IS Perfect.  Lord Jesus, we Know Your WORD ever Proves TRUE.  Holy Spirit, Empower and Encourage us to Ever Share Your WORD of TRUTH.  Father God, Thank You for You Are our Shield.  Help us, O Lord, To Share that You Still Are Calling and Ready to Be A Shield For ALL who would Take REFUGE In You.  Father God, May our Word, Thoughts and Actions Always Reflect That You, and You Alone Are The The Lord, The One True God.  Lord Jesus, May we Ever Mirror in our Lives that You and You Alone Are The ROCK of Ages, there is No Other, Except You, our Lord, Savior and God.  In Your Precious and Holy Name, we Lift Up our Prayers....Amen/Amen....jaj
