PJP2 THANKS TEXT 160706 - 2 Chronicles 26:4-5 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And he Did What Was RIGHT In The Eyes Of The Lord, According to All that his father Amaziah Had Done. He Set himself To SEEK God in the days of Zechariah, who instructed him In The FEAR Of God, AND As Long As he SOUGHT The Lord, God Made him prosper."....
I am Thankful for God's Promise that He Shares with us via our Lord Jesus' WORD - (Matthew 6:33)...."SEEK First The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, AND All These Things Shall Be Added Unto you".....We see in 2 Chronicles Chapters 25, 26 and 27 three Kings of Judah (Amaziah, Uzziah and Jotham {father, son and grand-son}) who initially started out their rules as Judah's King First 'doing What Was Right in The Eyes of The Lord". Unfortunately for two of the three (Amaziah and Uzziah) they both fell victim to human pride - beginning to think their success was all their own doing.
BUT, this doesn't negate the fact that when we Focus on Seeking God as our Priority. He Will Bless this effort, Blessing us to Be A Blessing for others.
Thus for my Prayer of Thanks for us today, allow me to offer up a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise from His Holy Spirit's Inspired Word to Paul as he writes in Galatians 6:6-10 (ESV/emphasis and paraphrase added/jaj)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Thank You for Your WORD and Your Promises. Lord Jesus, Help us, as we are the ones being Taught Your Word, to Remember to Share All Good Things With the one who You Have Appointed to Teach us. Holy Spirit, Protect us from being deceived: We Know, Father God You Are NOT mocked! Your Truth, Lord Jesus, Rings Clear - Whatever one Sows, That Will he Also Reap. Holy Spirit, Help us to Be Your Witness to those who Do Not Know You. Father God, Empower and Embolden us to Share that IF one sows to his own flesh, Then, indeed one will from the flesh reap corruption. BUT Lord Jesus, when one Sows To Your Holy Spirit, Then the one Will From The Holy Spirit Reap Eternal LIFE. And, Father God, Let us NOT grow weary Of Doing Your GOOD. Lord Jesus, As You Have Promised, In Due Season we Will Reap Your Fruit of The Holy Spirit, IF we Do NOT give up. O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, So Then, Open our Inner Eyes to Watch Carefully, As we Have Opportunities Present To us By You, Let us Do GOOD To everyone, And Especially to those Who Are Of The Household Of Faith. We Raise our Prayers and Praise in Your Holy Name, Lord Jesus.....Amen and Amen/jaj....
