PJP2 THANKS TEXT 160703 - 2 Chronicles 17:3-6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."The Lord Was With Jehoshaphat, BECAUSE he Walked In The Earlier Ways of his father David.  He Did NOT seek the Baals, BUT SOUGHT The God of his father AND Walked In HIS Commandments, AND NOT according to the practices of Israel.  THEREFORE The Lord Established the kingdom In his hand.  And ALL Judah brought tribute to Jehoshaphat, And he Had great riches and honor. His Heart Was Courageous IN The WAYS Of The Lord.  AND Furthermore, he Took the high places and the Asherim OUT of Judah."....

As one reads through 1-2 Samuel, 1-2 Kings and 1-2 Chronicles, it can, if we're not careful, become somewhat depressing due to the consistent, ongoing downward spiral we see happening first in the Northern Kingdom of Israel and then soon thereafter the Southern Kingdom of Judah.  I am so Thankful our Lord, though, Does Provide 'breaths' of fresh-air as seen in the Kings such as King Jehoshaphat.  I am Thankful for three key attributes The Holy Spirit Shares in regards to King Jehoshaphat - (1) He WALKED with God (as King David did in his 'early years'); (2) Jehoshaphat SOUGHT God's Guidance; (3) He was Obedient to God's Commands.  I am Thankful, as well, for God's Faithfulness towards Jehoshaphat.....As YAHWEH had said (and continues to Promise us as well)....

Deuteronomy 11:13-15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)....“AND IF you Will Indeed OBEY MY Commandments That I Command you today, TO LOVE The Lord your God, AND TO SERVE Him With ALL your Heart AND With ALL your Soul, HE Will GIVE The Rain for your Land in its season, The Early Rain AND The Later Rain, THAT you May Gather In your Grain AND your Wine AND your Oil.  AND HE Will GIVE Grass in your fields for your livestock, AND you Shall Eat AND Be Full."....

My Prayer of Thanks for us today....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Thank and Praise You for Your Loving, Amazing Grace.  Lord Jesus, Help us to Be Like Jehoshaphat.  Holy Spirit, Teach us Through his example the importance of Trusting and Obeying You at Your Word.  Father God, May we Ever Reflect Your Love and Grace for each of us.  Lord Jesus, Empower us to Share Your Story of Salvation to those who do not Yet Know You.  In Your Precious Name we Raise These Prayers....Amen/Amen....jaj
