PJP2 PROLOG 160708 PROLOG Focus - 2 Chronicles 33:12-13....Topic: God's Four Rs.....
Psalm 100:4 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Enter HIS Gates With Thanksgiving, And HIS Courts With PRAISE! Give Thanks To HIM; Bless HIS NAME!"....
PJP2 PROLOG POST 160708 - 2 Chronicles 33:12-13 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And when he (King Manasseh) was in distress, he Entreated The Favor Of The Lord his God And Humbled himself Greatly Before The God of his fathers. He Prayed To HIM, And God Was Moved By his Entreaty And Heard his Plea And Brought him Again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh Knew THAT The Lord WAS God.".....
Four Rs....Recognize....Repent....Restore.....REVEAL.....
King Manasseh Hezekiahson was a real piece of work. In fact in 2 Kings 21:1-10, The Holy Spirit does not mention what He Shares Here in 2 Chronicles 33:12-13, that is that King Manasseh figures out he has really BOOFED it!
But, Praise The Lord, Hear His WORD of Encouragement for us even via His Use of King Manasseh, the Royal Screw-up....God Shares with us His Three R's, which, by the way we STILL have Available to us as well.....
IF we will RECOGNIZE our 'distress' (most often self-imposed in my own case)....REPENT, meaning turn 180 degrees from that self-imposed distress/distraction/destruction....God IS FAITHFUL (see 2 Thessalonians 3:3) and HE WILL RESTORE our Relationship with Him....which leads to His REVELATION that, as King Manasseh learned...."LIGHT BULB"....."Then Manasseh KNEW THAT THE LORD WAS GOD".....
My Prayer for us today is - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Straightforward Approach towards us - Help us, O Lord, Open our Inner Eyes and Mind to See and Comprehend Your Love Towards us. Lord Jesus, May we Learn from Manasseh's Interaction with You that You Too Hold Out Your Hand for us to Recognize and Repent. Holy Spirit, Guide us as You Restore our Relationship with You. Father God, May we Worship and Revel in Your Revelation That You Are our Lord and God, and In You we Are Saved. Lord Jesus, we Raise our Prayers and Praise in Your Holy Name....Amen/Amen...jaj
