PJP2 PROLOG 160706 PROLOG Focus - 2 Chronicles 27:2 & 6....Topic: Ordered Ways

Psalm 7:17 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."I Will Give To The Lord The THANKS Due To His Righteousness, AND I Will Sing PRAISE To The NAME Of The Lord, The Most High."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160706 - 2 Chronicles 27:2, 6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And he Did What Was Right In The Eyes Of The Lord according to all that his father Uzziah had done, Except he did not enter the temple of the Lord.  BUT the people still followed corrupt practices. So Jotham Became Mighty, BECAUSE he Ordered his Ways Before The Lord his God."....

There's an interesting dichotomy here - on the one hand we see King Jotham Uzziahson (and Grandson to King Amaziah) becoming mighty BECAUSE.....he Ordered his Ways Before The Lord his God; - on the other hand we see his people (Judah) 'still following their corrupt practices'.

The dichotomy - the people disregarding the practices of their leader, BUT the leader not allowing the people's disregard to impact the choice to Order their Way Before The Lord.

The results are clear....2 Chronicles 27:6...."So Jotham Became Mighty, BECAUSE he Ordered his Ways Before The Lord his God."....

As for the people, well, we'll see more of that when we get to 2 Chronicles 36:16-21.....

BUT, The Word of Encouragement I'm Hearing His Holy Spirit Share with us This Morning is....2 Chronicles 27:6,..,."So Jotham Became Mighty, BECAUSE he Ordered his Ways Before The Lord his God."....With the Focus on our Ordering our Ways, With His Holy Spirit's Help, to Align with The Way of our Lord Jesus Christ.  The Rest, God The Father Will Take Care of.

My Prayer for us today would simply be - Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Amazing Love, Grace and Promise to us.  Lord Jesus, Open our Inner Eyes to See Your Guidance on How we Can Better Align our ways to Yours.  Holy Spirit, Thank You for Your Presence.  Lead us Lord to Connect with You.  Father God, May we Never Lose Sight of You and fall victim to thinking it is in our own frail human ability that we've made anything of significance happen without you with us.  Lord Jesus, we Love You and Ask These Prayers in Your Holy Name....Amen and Amen..jaj
