PJP2 PROLOG 160701 PROLOG Focus - 2 Chronicles 12:6....

1 Chronicles 16:35-36 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Say also: 'Save us, O God Of our Salvation, And Gather And Deliver us from among the nations, That we May Give Thanks To Your Holy Name And Glory In Your Praise.  Blessed Be The Lord, The God of Israel, From Everlasting to Everlasting!'  Then ALL the people said, 'Amen!' And Praised The Lord."

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160701 -2 Chronicles 12:6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Then the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, 'The Lord is Righteous/Just.'”....

You know God's WORD to us is chocked-full of His Examples to us of what's right to do, and what's wrong.  Along those same lines, He also gives us scenarios where His Chosen Children have an opportunity to stop, listen and DO what God's Shown them IS the right action to take.  Many times (just like us) our selfish/willfulness gets in the way of our Lord's Guidance.

BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth) - ever so often the ancient saints (just like us as well) DO get it Right.  They DO OBEY God's WORD and drive on.

Today's POWS (2 Chronicles 12:6) is just such an instance.  If you aren't familiar with 2 Chronicles, this account relays a story of King Rheoboam Solomonson having his back up against the wall due to his disobedience and, as 2 Chronicles 12:5 shares, he and God's People had literally 'abandoned' YAHWEH.

So....The Lord brings Shishak (King of Egypt) to whup on Rheoboam et al.

Thus surrounded, cut-off from any help, no where to turn - King Rheoboam and the leaders 'humble themselves' before The Lord.

How often do we find ourselves in similar scenarios?  I assure You Crew, I know I've been there more than once, and I'm sure I'll get myself in similar pickles again.

BLUF:  Just like The Spirit Shared with us in today's PJP2 THANKS 160701....The WORD of Wisdom found in Proverbs 3:5-6....very applicable to our discussion....Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)...."TRUST In The Lord With All your Heart, AND Do NOT lean on your own understanding.  In All your Ways Acknowledge Him, AND He Will Make Straight your Paths."....

So....Lord, I would Pray Your Help in our Learning from King Rehoboam in this instance.  Holy Spirit, when we stumble and stray from Your Narrow Path, help us to Come Back to You, to Repent and Return to Your Grace.  Father God, Ever Guide us to Live our Lives in such a Way that we Reflect You in All we Do.  Father God, In You and You Alone is our TRUST.  Guide us, Lord.  In Your Gracious Name we Pray....Amen/Amen....jaj
