PJP2 PROLOG 160626 PROLOG Focus - 1 Chronicles 29:16-18....

1 Chronicles 29:20 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Then David said to all the assembly, 'Bless The Lord your God.'  And all the assembly Blessed The Lord, The God of their fathers, and Bowed their heads And Paid Homage to The Lord and to the king."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160626 -1 Chronicles 29:16-18 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."(King David prayed)....'O Lord our God, All This Abundance that we have provided for building You A House For Your Holy Name Comes From Your Hand And Is ALL Your Own.  I Know, my God, That You Test The Heart And Have Pleasure In Uprightness/Integrity.  In the Uprightness of my Heart I Have Freely Offered ALL These Things, And Now I Have Seen Your people, who are present here, Offering Freely And Joyously To You. O Lord, The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, Keep Forever Such Purposes And Thoughts In The Hearts of Your people, And Direct their Hearts Toward You.'"

IF....THEN...such a simple-straight/forward concept - Yet such a Challenge, on-our-own, to carry out.

King David had the Desire to build YAHWEH a permanent 'home', since the children of Israel had finally moved into God's Promise Land and settled in.  Solomon's Temple was David's Legacy expressing his commitment to God The Father, striving to Honor God with a beautiful, permanent structure.  Now if you've never looked at YAHWEH's response to David wanting to build the Temple - it is an interesting reading (see 1 Chronicles 28:3-10).  As I've been pondering God's Reply to David's Desire to Build a Temple, I almost get a sense that God The Father's trying to Remind David He does NOT necessarily reside in a building of brick/stone/etc.  Oh fully I Believe God Knows us, His Creation, and that we are very much physical beings that respond well to the visual reminder of His Presence amongst us (Pillar of Fire; etc).  Yet, as we have Learned via His Son, our Lord Jesus' Teaching - God The Father's BLUF intent is To Reside Within us - that His True Temple is in our Hearts.

An thus 1 Chronicles 29:18 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)..."Keep Forever Such Purposes And Thoughts In The Hearts of Your people, And Direct their Hearts Toward You.'"....makes even MORE sense of where we are today.....

Thus my Prayer for us today would center on 1 Chronicles 29:18.....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Stories Shared with us Through Your WORD.  Lord Jesus, Help us to Ever Remember God The Father's Purpose and Thoughts in our Hearts. Holy Spirit, Ever Direct our Hearts toward You.  Father God, Fill us with Your Holy Spirit.  Indeed Lord, Let the Words of our Mouth and the Meditations of our Heart Reflect You in all we Do.  We Raise our Prayers and Praise in Your Holy Name....Amen/Amen....jaj
