PJP2 PROLOG 160625 PROLOG Focus -

Psalm 33:1-3 (ESV/emphasis added /jaj)...."Shout For JOY In The Lord, O you righteous!  Praise Befits The Upright.  Give Thanks To The Lord with the lyre; Make Melody To Him With The harp of ten strings!  Sing To Him A New Song; Play Skillfully on the strings, With Loud Shouts."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160625 - 1 Chronicles 26:8 (ESV)...."All these were of the sons of Obed-edom with their sons and brothers, able men qualified for the service; sixty-two of Obed-edom."

It is so interesting to me the characters that God The Father introduces us to Through His Holy Word.  Obed-Edom (O.E.) is, for me, one of those Fascinating Godly men that we find mentioned briefly in The WORD.  Three times in 2 Samuel (2 Samuel 6:10-12); Eleven times in 1 Chronicles (1 Chronicles 13:13-14; 18; 21; 24-25; 16:5; 38; 26:4; 8; 15) Once in 2 Chronicles (2 Chronicles 25:24).

Now, I have to admit, I've not drilled enough into these 15 POWs to see if O.E. is the same O.E. mentioned in each passage - BUT I do think That God The Father Blessed O.E., even if it is not the same O.E. throughout.....The Holy Spirit Shares in 1 Chronicles 26:5d...."For God had Blessed Obed-Edom."....

So here's The Point I am Hearing The Holy Spirit make with regards to O.E. - O.E. must have been a man of Character/Integrity, Trustworthy, Faithful and a Good dad....(O.E.'s sons were 'chips' off the 'Old Block).

We don't get a lot of details about O.E.  Yet we are told that O.E. & sons were 'very capable' and 'strong' to 'do The Work'.

Thus, I Sense The Spirit Drawing me towards O.E. & sons, embracing who they are, and Hearing How God Used them for His Work, AND will most assuredly Gainfully Employ me/us as well in like fashion, Because God Knows us so Very Well.

My Prayer for us today - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God - Thank You for Your Presence in our Lives.  Lord Jesus, I Surrender my All to You.  Holy Spirit, regardless if we be the 'Senior Administrator', or The Gatekeeper, You Are With us.  Father God, we Praise You for Your Grace and Your Seeing beyond our own self-imposed limitations.  Lord Jesus, Guide us to Ever Share You and What You're Doing in our lives.  Holy Spirit, Help us to Reflect You.  Father God, we are  Ever Your Clay, Mold us, Great Potter, to Be The Vessel You Need us to be.  In Your Son, our Lord Jesus, Precious Name....Amen/Amen....jaj
