Psalm 99:3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Let them Praise Your Great And Awesome NAME!  Holy Is HE!"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160612 - 2 Kings 14:6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."But he did not put to death the children of the murderers (of his father), According To What Is Written In The Book of the Law of Moses, Where The Lord Commanded, 'Fathers Shall Not Be put to death Because of their children, NOT Shall children Be put to death Because of their fathers.  BUT each one shall die for his own sin.'”

I know some of our PJP2 Family are most likely viewers of "The Game of Thrones (TGOT)".  I admit, Cindy and I read the first book together, But.....we've gone no further, nor have we watched any of the series.  My point for even bringing TGOT up is that if you read 1-2 Samuel; 1-2 Kings and 1-2 Chronicles......TGOT has nothing on these six books of His Word.

(I am eventually going to write a historic/novelization based on the partial repetitive POWS....""As for the events of the reign of _________, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah/Israel?". This may be my own attempt at tapping into our Lord's Insight on our real-life TGOT from OT days.....I'll keep you posted....jaj)

Anyway....The Point I Hear The Holy Spirit making with reference to King Amaziah Joashson, King of Judah actions NOT to take revenge on the sons of the assassins of his father, King Joash Jehoramson, is, GRACE.  God's Grace is ever and always in play.

Now one might think the POWS of 2 Kings 14:6 are a bit of a downer, since The Lord's Law Reveals each of us are set to die due to our own sin.

Yes, I would concur, IF that were the End of God's Story with us.  BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth), Praise God it is NOT the End.  Remember, Team, The Old Testament is God's Mystery of Salvation Concealed.  The New Testament is God's Grace Revealed.....

John 3:16-21 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

Thus my Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise as Shared with us By His Holy Spirit in Psalm 25:1-7 (ESV)....O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, to You, O Lord, we Lift Up our Souls.  O Lord Jesus, You are our God, In You and You Alone, we TRUST.  Holy Spirit, Guide us In Your Way, and Let us Not be put to shame.  Father God, Protect us and Let Not our enemies exult over us.  Lord Jesus, Indeed By Your Grace and Presence, none who Wait For You Shall Be put to shame.  Holy Spirit, Empower and Embolden us to Share Your Truth of Mercy and Grace with those who shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous against You.  Father God, Help us Make Knows Your Ways of Light and Love, O Lord.  Lord Jesus, Teach us Your Paths.  Holy Spirit, Lead us In Your Truth.  Father God, Teach us Your Word, For You Are The God of our Salvation.  Oh Lord Jesus, For You we Wait All The Day Long.  Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Ever Remember Your Mercy, O Lord, AND Your Steadfast LOVE, For we Read of Them From of Old. Lord Jesus, By Your Grace and Sacrifice, Remember Not the sins of our youth or our transgressions of old.  Father God, According to Your Steadfast LOVE Remember us, For The Sake of Your Eternal Goodness, O Lord!  In Your Precious and Holy Name we Pray....Amen and Amen....jaj
