PJP2 PROLOG POST 160606 - Ephesians 1:11-14 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."IN Him we Have Obtained An Inheritance, Having Been Predestined ACCORDING To The Purpose of Him Who Works ALL Things According To The Counsel of His Will, SO That we who were The First To Hope IN Christ Might Be To The Praise of His Glory. IN Him you Also, When you Heard The WORD Of Truth, The Gospel of your Salvation, AND Believed IN Him, Were Sealed With The Promised Holy Spirit, Who IS The Guarantee Of our Inheritance Until We Acquire Possession of IT, To The Praise of His Glory."....
Wow.....I never ceased to be Amazed When The Holy Spirit starts to 'hammer home' a Concept He is Striving to Get Across to me. This Morning, He Has been aggressively pointing towards this Revelation that our Entire Interaction with God The Father is In and Through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit summarizes this up nicely in 1 Timothy 2:5-6 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."For There Is One God, And There Is One Mediator Between God and men, The Man Christ Jesus, Who Gave Himself As A Ransom For ALL, Which IS The Testimony Given At The Proper Time."....
As we read through Ephesians, these reference Phrases of "IN Him", "THROUGH Him", etc.....All Boils Down to this.....
Ephesians 2:4-10 (ESV/emphasis added)...."BUT God, Being Rich In MERCY, Because Of The GREAT LOVE With Which He LOVED us, Even When we were dead in our trespasses, Made us ALIVE Together WITH Christ—BY GRACE you Have Been SAVED— And Raised us Up WITH Him And Seated us WITH Him In the heavenly places IN Christ Jesus, SO That In The Coming Ages He Might Show The Immeasurable Riches Of His GRACE In Kindness Toward us IN Christ Jesus. For BY GRACE you Have Been SAVED Through FAITH. AND This IS NOT your own doing; IT IS The GIFT of God, NOT a result of works, SO That no one may boast. For we Are His Workmanship, Created IN Christ Jesus For Good Works, Which God Prepared Beforehand, That we Should Walk IN them."....
Thus, my Friends, my Prayer for us today would be - Lord Jesus, May we Be Encouraged for Your Free GIft of Salvation, Redemption and Reconciliation. Holy Spirt, Be Ever Present in, around and through us as God The Father's Seal and Reminder of His GRACE towards us. Father God we Praise and Worship You for Your Amazing MERCY and LOVE showered upon us. May we, Lord, Be A Reflection of Your Light. O Lord Jesus, Open The Hearts of all that have not yet Come to Know You as Lord and Savior. We Love You and Thank You, Praying These Prayers in Your Holy Name....Amen and Amen....jaj
