PJP2 PROLOG POST 160509 -1 Samuel 12:14-15 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."IF you Will Fear (jaj note - Faithfully Esteem/Adore/Revere-Respect) The Lord And Serve Him And Obey His Voice And NOT rebel against The Commandment Of The Lord, And IF Both you and the king who reigns over you Will Follow The Lord your God, IT Will Be Well.  BUT IF you Will NOT Obey The Voice Of The Lord, BUT rebel against The Commandment Of The Lord, THEN The Hand Of The Lord Will Be Against you and your king."....

The Word I Hear The Holy Spirit Laying on my Heart this morning is, "Straight-forward".  As we read 1 Samuel 12:14-15, clearly The Holy Spirit has Inspired Samuel, God's Prophet, to lay out the basics to the Israelites on how they and now their new earthly king (Saul at this point in time) are to Follow YAHWEH going forth.

As our Lord has made plain, 'Straight-forward' throughout His Word to us - Our being His children really is just that, our Relationship with Him is 'Straight-forward'....meaning our Lord makes is simple....our Relationship with God The Father is an "IF....THEN" scenario.

As we see in 1 Samuel 12:14-15...."IF....you Will....
Fear (jaj note - Faithfully Esteem/Adore/Revere-Respect) The Lord
And Serve Him
And Obey His Voice
And NOT rebel against The Commandment Of The Lord,
And IF Both you and the king who reigns over you Will Follow The Lord your God....
THEN...."IT Will Be Well" with you....

However, The Lord Also Shares with us the antithesis of His Promise of Blessings for a Positive Relationship with Him....

BUT IF....
you Will NOT Obey The Voice Of The Lord,
BUT rebel against The Commandment Of The Lord....                                                        
THEN The Hand of The Lord Will Be Against you and your king.....

Now, don't hear what I am not saying - not saying the IF/THEN is easy.....Not at all...I know for a fact that my old sinful nature is indeed my worst enemy.  Praise our Lord Jesus for His Patience, His Mercy and Above All His Grace towards us.

Thus my Prayer for us today would be a Paraphrase of Prayer and Praise using our Lord's IF/THEN Promise as our Prayer...... O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Come Before You in Humble Worship, Prayer and Praise.  Lord Jesus, Help us to Learn that IF we Will Appropriately Fear, that is May we Ever Faithfully Esteem/Adore/Revere-Respect You, Then we Will Begin to Grasp Your Love for us.  Holy Spirit, Guide us and Teach us How to Better Serve You.  Father God, Instill in our Hearts Your Will that we May Obey Your Voice.  Lord Jesus, Protect us from ever rebelling against Your Commandment.  Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Be with our world leaders as well, Open their Hearts that they would All Follow You, O Lord our God.  Thank You, Lord, That Your Promise is Faithful and True.  Thank You that When we Are In Your Will, Life is Indeed Well with us.  Lord Jesus, Help us to Share Your Truth, that IF we Will NOT Obey Your Voice, BUT choose to rebel against Your Commandment.  THEN The Consequence of our Disobedience and Willfulness is that Your Hand, O Lord Will Be Against us.  May we Ever Seek to Follow You in Your Righteous Way.  Again, O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy and Forgiving Grace.  We Raise our Prayer and Praise in Your Holy Name....Amen/Amen....jaj
