Psalm 40:3 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."He Put A New Song In my mouth, A Song of Praise To our God.  Many Will See And Fear, And Put Their Trust In The Lord."....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160313 - John 2:19-22 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Jesus Answered them, 'Destroy This Temple, And In Three Days I Will Raise It Up.'  The Jews then said, 'It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and Will You Raise It Up In Three Days?'  BUT He Was Speaking About The Temple of His Body.  When Therefore He Was Raised From The Dead, His disciples Remembered That He Had Said This, And they Believed The Scripture And The Word That Jesus Had Spoken."....

Speaking the Same Language.  Something my Lovely Bride of 38 years and I somewhat tease each other about (sometimes not) is the frequency with which she and I find we are NOT speaking the 'same language', though, through the conversation we both believe we are.  John 2:19-22 is an excellent example of this as well.  Like the Pharisees, Cindy, or I, or both us somehow miss the Context of the Discussion.  Then off we go down a rabbit-hole of pondering and increasing the chasm between ourselves.  Until we finally have that 'A-HA' Moment (such as The Lord's disciples following our Lord Jesus when the 'get it' post His Passion and Resurrection) and, Praise our Lord's Grace, we re-connect to His Truth and Point that He's Trying to Bring us to.

How often does this happen to us?

I can only speak for myself, BUT (Behold the Underlying Truth) I Know for a fact, this happens to me a lot, I'm afraid.

I mean, let's think on this for just a moment longer.  Let's simply look at our Reading His Word and Consider how often do we miss His True Point, mucking up the Content due to Missing His Context of our Lord Jesus' Bottom-Line/Up-Front Message From God The Father.....

In Answer to this Pondering - The Holy Spirit is Guiding us to Simply Read and Absorb our Lord Jesus' Own Word from John 8:21-32 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."So He Said to them again, 'I Am Going Away, and you will Seek Me, and you will die in your sin.  Where I Am Going, you cannot come.'
So the Jews said, “Will He kill himself, since He Says, ‘Where I Am Going, you cannot come’?'

He Said to them, 'You are from below; I Am From Above.  You are of this world; I Am NOT of this world.  I told you that you would die in your sins, FOR Unless you Believe That I Am He you will die in your sins.'

So they said to him, 'Who are you?'

Jesus Said to them, 'Just What I Have Been Telling you From The Beginning.  I Have Much To Say about you And Much To Judge, BUT He Who Sent Me IS TRUE, And I Declare To the world What I Have Heard From Him.'

They Did NOT Understand That He Had Been Speaking to them About The Father.
So Jesus Said to them, 'When you have lifted up the Son of Man, Then you Will KNOW That I Am He, And That I Do Nothing On My Own Authority, BUT Speak Just As The Father Taught Me.  And He Who Sent Me IS With Me.  He Has NOT left Me alone, For I Always Do the things That Are Pleasing To Him.'

As He Was Saying These Things, many Believed In Him.

So Jesus Said to the Jews who Had Believed Him, 'If you Abide In My Word, you Are Truly My disciples, And you Will Know The Truth, And The Truth Will Set you FREE.'"....

Thus my Prayer for us today is simply this - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, we Praise and Thank You for Sending us Your Light and Life.  Help us, Lord Jesus to Know Your Truth.  Holy Spirit, Flood us With Your Light.  Father God, Strengthen us to Share His Story of Mercy and Grace to Draw All those who Do Not Know You as Lord and Savior to Your Loving Embrace.  In You Holy Name we Lift Up our Prayers....Amen/Amen....jaj
