1 Chronicles 16:9 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."Sing to Him, Sing Praises to Him; Tell of All His Wondrous Works!"....
PJP2 PROLOG POST 160309 - Numbers 27:6-8 (ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."And The Lord Said to Moses, 'The daughters of Zelophehad Are Right. You Shall Give them Possession of An Inheritance among their father's brothers and Transfer The Inheritance of their father to them. And you Shall Speak to the people of Israel, Saying, ‘If a man dies and has no son, then you Shall Transfer his Inheritance to his daughter.'"....
Good for Zelophehad Hepherson's Five Daughters (Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, Tirzah) for stepping up and bringing their case forward to Moses as their Intercessor with YAHWEH. What I Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing with me in regards to The Story of Zelophehad's Five Daughters is this - (1) God's Concern and Grace for All His children. It is so very easy to get lost and caught up in what might appear to be the 'male-centric' nature of the Old Testament. Yet, Praise God, He Continues to Inspire His writers of His Word with Golden Treasures such as The 'Zelo Five'. As we Read through His Word, may we be Open to His Teaching Regards All His children; (2) A Father's Positive Influence - Though we only read about Zelophehad and The Zelo Five in nine Passages Of the Word Select (POWS), it would seem we could infer Zelophehad had a Positive Influence upon his daughters. (A) They were not shy; (B) They recognized their father Zelophehad had not been as bad as Kothar/Dathan & Abiram, BUT that Zelophehad had been a sinner (as we all are) in his own right; (C) Carry On - The Zelo Five wanted to ensure Zelo's name was not forgotten; (3) God's The Central Focus of our longing and desires - The Zelo Five did not plot, scheme, try to connive a way to accomplish their goal. No, they went straight to The Source via the Appropriate Channel to bring their Need before YAHWEH. And their Obedience to God's Way Resulted in His Blessings upon them.
So, Team, we too can Learn from The Zelo Five. I know I certainly am opening myself to The Holy Spirit for What Lessons Learned He is Striving to Share with me.
Thus my Prayer for us today would be - O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Loving and Living Word to us. Lord Jesus, Open our Heart and Mind to Your Teaching via Your Examples that You Share Through the entire Scriptures. Holy Spirit, Help us to Be like The Zelo Five and Be Willing to Step Up and Intercede for those we Love and Care for, bringing their needs and concerns to You, The Ultimate Source of All in our Lives. Father God, Thank You for Being our Perfect Father. Thank You, as well, for our earthly fathers. Help us to Learn Your Lessons of Love, Mercy and Grace even in the midst of theirs and our imperfections. O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You that You Continue to Center us on Your Reality and Focus on You as our One and Only Hope. We Lift Up our Prayers to You in Your Holy Name....Amen/Amen....jaj
