PJP2 PROLOG 160304 PROLOG Focus Ruth 1:16-17

Psalm 35:18(ESV/emphasis added/jaj)...."I Will Thank You in the great congregation; In the mighty throng I Will Praise You"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 160304 - Ruth 1:16-17 (NIV/emphasis added/jaj)...."But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May The Lord Deal with me, be it ever so severely, If Even death separates you and me.”....

A bit out of sequence today, since at present our annual pilgrimage through His Word has us in the midst of The Book of Numbers.  Yet I Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing with me these POWS from Ruth 1:16-17.  What a Powerful Message of Love, Loyalty and Dedication.  Even more Amazing when you consider that Ruth (a Moabite/sworn enemies of the children of Israel), daughter-in-law to Naomi (an Israelite who's son had married Ruth) is making this plea for Ruth to be allowed to remain with Naomi and return to Israel with her.

Ponder with me a moment and consider The Lord Jesus saying this to us.  Bear with me, Team, as I share this Paraphrase of Ruth 1:16-17....."But Jesus replied to them, “Don’t urge Me to leave you or to turn back from you.  Where you go I Will Go, And where you stay I Will Stay.  Your people Will Be My people and God My Father Will Be your God And Heavenly Father.  Where you die, I Will Be There with You, For I Have Already Died and Risen to Save You.  Where you will be buried, I Will Be There to Raise you as I Have Risen.  May God The Father, My Lord Deal With Me, Be It ever so severely, IF Even death could ever Separate you From Me.”

Interesting thought.

My Prayer for us today would be a rephrase of this paraphrase..... O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Thank You for Your Love, Mercy, Light and Grace.  Lord Jesus, Forgive us when we falter and stray.  Thank You that You are Faithful and True.  Thank You, Holy Spirit, even if we were to urge You to leave us, You Will Not.  Thank You, Father God, that Wherever we go, You Go With us.  Thank You, Lord Jesus that Wherever we stay, You Stay with us.  Holy Spirit, May  Your people ever Be our people.  O Father God, May You Always and Ever Be our One and Only God.  Lord Jesus, Thank You that Because of Your Life, Death and Resurrection, not even death could ever Separate us from You, Ever.  Thank You!  May we Ever and Always, O Lord Jesus, Holy Spirit, Father God, Be A Reflection of Your Light especially to those who do Not Yet Know You.  In Your Gracious Name we Pray....Amen/Amen....jaj
