PJP2 PROLOG 151231 PROLOG Focus Revelation 22:7-10....

Revelation 19:6 (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)....{The Marriage Supper of the Lamb}...."Then I Heard What Seemed To Be The Voice of A Great Multitude, Like The Roar of many waters And Like The Sound of Mighty Peals of Thunder, Crying Out, 'Hallelujah!  For The Lord our God The Almighty Reigns.'"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 141231 - Revelation 22:7-10 (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)....“(Jesus Said,) 'And Behold, I Am Coming SOON.  Blessed Is the one who Keeps The Words Of The Prophecy Of This Book.'  I, John, am the one who Heard And Saw These Things.  And When I Heard And Saw Them, I fell down to Worship at the feet of The Angel who Showed Them To me, BUT he Said To me, 'You Must Not Do That!  I am a fellow servant With you And your brothers the prophets, And With those who Leep The Words Of This Book.  Worship God.'  And he Said To me, 'Do NOT seal up The Words Of The Prophecy Of This Book, FOR The TIME Is NEAR.'"...

First a Safe and Happy New Year's Eve to you and yours.  May The Blessings, Grace, Peace and Comfort of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and yours as we head into 2016.

The Holy Spirit has laid two Concepts on me this morning that I'm going to share - (1) Brother Bob Ingle's Revelation as a Football Game; (2) "Behold, I Am Coming SOON." x3.....

(1) Brother Bob Ingle's Revelation as a Football Game - Now bear with me, I am merely going to share this concept as a strawman outline.....IF you take a normal football game - you have: Pregame; First- Half; Half-Time; Second-Half; Last Quarter; Postgame Celebration; Quarterback's Press Conference....

We find a similar outline in Revelation.....Pregame - Revelation 1-4; First Half - Revelation 5-10; Half-Time - Revelation 11; Second-Half - Revelation 12-19; Last Quarter - Revelation 20; Postgame Celebration - Revelation 21-22:6; Quarterback's Press Conference - Revelation 22:7-21

I simply find this a very interesting perspective to consider Revelation.  I know this has helped me have a better understanding of the Lord's Flow of Thought via His Inspired Word to John.  Perhaps this  Concept might help you as well.....

(2) "Behold, I Am Coming SOON!" x3.....Three times in Revelation 22 (22:7, 12, 20) our Lord Jesus states, "I Am Coming SOON!".....Now just a quick point - post our Lord Jesus Resurrection and Ascension to God The Father (Acts 1), His disciples, now His Foundation for Continuing on His Mission of Reconciliation, fully Believed our Lord Jesus would Return for His Second Advent SOON.  Throughout our human history (even today) we have seen and/or heard of those who take extremely literally that our Lord Jesus is Coming Soon, to the point of selling all they have and perahps relocating to where they are convinced He Is Coming too.  Note:  I am in no way dismissing those folks and their beliefs, that's between them and The Lord.  However, I would bring up Two POWS that at least for me, help me to Keep my Focus aligned on Him and Him Alone.....In Acts 1:6-7 and 2 Peter 3:8-10 I am Confident our Lord Jesus has Given us Two Solid Points of Contact to Stand Upon....

Acts 1:6-9 (ESV)....{The Ascension}...."So when they had come together, they asked Him, 'Lord, Will You at this time Restore The Kingdom to Israel?'  He Said to them, 'It Is NOT for you To Know Times or Seasons That The Father Has Fixed By His Own Authority.  BUT you Will Receive Power When The Holy Spirit Has Come Upon you, And you Will Be My Witnesses in Jerusalem And in All Judea And Samaria, And to the end of the earth.'  And When He Had Said These Things, as they were looking on, He Was Lifted Up, And A Cloud took Him out of their sight."....

2 Peter 3:8-10 (ESV)...."BUT Do Not overlook This One Fact, beloved, THAT With The Lord one day Is As a thousand years, AND a thousand years As one day.  The Lord Is NOT slow To Fulfill His Promise as some count slowness, BUT Is Patient Toward you, NOT wishing that ANY should perish, BUT That ALL Should Reach Repentance.  BUT The Day Of The Lord Will Come Like A Thief, And Then the heavens Will Pass Away with a Roar, And the heavenly bodies Will Be Burned Up And Dissolved, And the earth And the works that are done on it Will Be Exposed."....

So for us, who are in temporal time, SOON is a very relative term.  In God's Time, SOON will be the next 'twinkling of an eye' as The Holy Spirit Inspired Paul to write in 1 Corinthians 15:52...."In a Moment, In The Twinkling of an eye, At The Last Trumpet".....or, as we see in 2 Peter 3:8-10...."Like a Thief"....our Lord Jesus' Second Advent will be upon us.

Thus, as we wrap up the PJP2 Series (God's Nod; SIP; THANKS; PROLOG) for 2015 - My Prayer for us would be - (1) May our Lord's Grace be with you and yours as we move ahead into 2016; (2) Lord Jesus Thank You for 2015; I would Pray Your Comfort be with those who have suffered loss, trial or challenges this year.  I would Praise You for the Victories and Blessings You Have Graced us with these past 12-months; (3) Holy Spirit I would Ask Your Presence and Renewing Power Flow into each of us as we face the New Year, 2016.  (4) Father God, I would Ask You to Remind us Ever to Keep our Focus Fully on You; (5) Lord Jesus, Help us to Ever and Always Be Your Witness to Your Story in, around and through us.  In Your Precious and Holy Name we Pray....Amen/Amen....jaj
