Psalm 95:1-3a  (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)....{Let Us Sing Songs of Praise}...."Oh Come, Let us Sing to The Lord; Let us Make a Joyful Noise to The Rock of our Salvation!  Let us Come Into His Presence with Thanksgiving; Let us Make A Joyful Noise to Him with Songs of Praise!  For The Lord Is A Great God"....

PJP2 PROLOG POST 151209 - Joel 2:32 (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)...."And It Shall Come to Pass That everyone who Calls On The Name of The Lord Shall Be Saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem There Shall Be those who Escape, as The Lord Has Said, and among the survivors Shall Be those whom The Lord Calls."....

What a Blessing and a Promise we find in Joel 2:32....."And It Shall Come to Pass (Promise) That everyone who Calls on The Name of The Lord Shall Be Saved (Blessing)"....I mean think of it - how often do we say someone's name, but barely consider the consequence of our calling out to them.  Oh I know our expectation is they will respond.  We will converse on what either needs to be done, or perhaps just talk about the weather.  Yet, do we really ever consider what's happening when we call upon someone by name?  I know I've not necessarily given it much thought or pondering.

However The Holy Spirit has been thumping the drum this morning on How God Views 'Calling Upon His Name' - He takes this pretty seriously.....for example....

Psalm 116:4...."Then I Called On The Name of The Lord: 'O Lord, I Pray, Deliver my Soul!"

Psalm 116:13...."I Will LIft Up The Cup of Salvation and Call on The Name of The Lord"....

Romans 10:13...."For 'everyone who Calls on The Name of The Lord Will Be SAVED."....

That's just a sampling of the 30-35 POWS that run along this Line of Calling on The Name of The Lord resulting in our Salvation and Deliverance.

Oh and God The Father is True to His Word, He Gives us The Name to Call Upon.  Joseph, our Lord Jesus' earthly 'step'-father, was considering his options when he learned that Mary, his betrothed, was with child.....Joseph had a Dream.....(Matthew 1:20-23 {ESV}/{emphasis added/jaj})...."But as he (Joseph) considered these things, Behold, an Angel of The Lord Appeared to him in a dream, Saying, 'Joseph, son of David, Do Not fear To Take Mary as your Wife, For That Which is Conceived in her Is From The Holy Spirit.  She Will Bear a Son, and you Shall Call His Name Jesus, For He Will Save His people From their sins.'   All This Took Place to Fulfill What The Lord had Spoken by the prophet:
'Behold, the virgin Shall Conceive and Bear a Son, and they Shall Call His Name Immanuel' (which means, 'God With us')."

Yep, The Name of Jesus is a Pretty Significant Name of which we can Place our Full Hope and Trust.

My prayer for us today would be just that - May we all Come to Call Upon His Name.  Lord Jesus, Thank You and Help us to Grasp Your Hope, Encouragement and Your Grace.  Thank You, Father God, for Giving us Your Son, and His Name upon which we Can indeed Call for Your Salvation.  Holy Spirit, May we ever Reflect The Name of Jesus in All we Say and Do.
