PJP2 PROLOG 151201 PROLOG Focus Daniel 4:2 Part 1....

Daniel 4:3 (ESV)/(emphasis &  paraphrase added/jaj)....Father God, Indeed how Great Are Your Signs of Your Presence that You Provide for us every moment of every day; How Mighty are Your Wonders that are all around us, and even within us!  Lord Jesus we Know that Your Kingdom, unlike the kingdoms/nations of our wordl, IS An Everlasting Kingdom.  Holy Spirit, You Dominion Endures from generation to generation.

PJP2 PROLOG POST 151201 - Daniel 4:2 (ESV)/(emphasis & paraphrase added/jaj)...."It has Seemed Good to me To Show The Signs And Wonders That The Most High God has Done for me."....

I have to readily admit I don't know a lot about King Nebuchadnezzar (King N), King of Babylonia.  I am fascinated the YAHWEH chose him as God's Instrument to carry out The Lord's Righteous Judgment and Punishment upon Judah for their hundreds of years of apostasy via all the evil/wicked kings they had suffered through (just check out 1-2 Kings, and/or 1-2 Chronicles).  King N was not a Follower of The Faith.  In fact, as we read in Daniel 1, King N renamed Daniel "Belteshazzar" after King N's idol deity that he followed.  Yet, clearly King N recognized (look at King N's response to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego's Resuce from his fiery furnace by God's Angel....Daniel 3:28-30) that The Most High God that Daniel Served indeed had Something Special that was Noteworthy (and Eternal). 

So, what I Hear The Holy Spirit Sharing with me this morning in Part 1 of this 2-part PJP2 PROLOG POST is really crystallized by Daniel 4:2 - I am Amazed by 'The Signs and Wonders' our Lord Jesus has Shared with me over my 61 years walking this earth.  Ranging from our human anatomy and construction, through the Wonders of Creation we see all about us, to the intricate complexities we interact with via our Relationships with loved ones, family, friends and co-workers on a daily basis.  As I ponder all of that, I am also struck by His Amazing Grace at Sending His One and Only Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, to Come and Dwell Among us as yet One More Sign and Wonder for us to Connect with Him.  I mean look at the contrast between an earthly king, president, ruler, potentate compared to the Coming of The King of kings.  Our Lord Jesus' First Advent was on of Humble Beginnings, a wee-bit of fanfare (The Angels, Shepherds, Wisemen - there was a bit of 'to-do' regards His Coming, BUT more on that as we go through the month....jaj) - yet overall, our Lord Jesus' Time with us during His First Advent was NOT one of 'pomp and circumstance'.  Then line that up to what King N into hot water.....Daniel 4:29-30 (ESV)...."At the end of twelve months he (King N) was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, and the king answered and said, “Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty?”....oops.....

It is easy for me to see how King N {following his announcement in Daniel 4:29-30, King N spent'a time' ('7 times' actually - could be 7 years, could be 7 'seasons'.....) because his own pride blinded him to Truth - I know I've had challenges within that sphere plenty of times..../jaj} finally 'wakes up' and grasps Who God The Father really IS.  As his Realization of God's Sovereignty rests upon him, King N says.....(Daniel 4:37 {ESV}/{emphasis added/jaj})...."Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, Praise And Extol And Honor The King of Heaven, for All His Works are Right And His Ways are Just; And those who walk in pride He Is Able to humble."....

Thus today I will ask in our prayer for us that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Revive our Awareness of all The Signs and Wonders He Continues to Surround us with each and every moment.  Holy Spirit Protect us from our own pride, that we may Not be blinded, as King N was, that it is Really You Working within, around and through us, NOT us accomplishing All.  Father God, Strengthen us to Continue to Reflect Your Light, even thought the world around us storms and challenges us.  We Know that You are Greater than all of that.  Lord Jesus we would ask these and all our Prayers in Your Precious and Holy Name.  Amen and Amen/jaj
