PJP2 THANKS TEXT 151116 - Ezekiel 12:28 (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)...."Therefore Say to them, 'Thus Says The Lord God: None of My Words Will Be delayed any longer, BUT The Word that I Speak Will Be Performed', Declares The Lord God.”....

I am Thankful that our Lord Jesus is both Patient as well as Timely.  As we read through Ezekiel, we begin to get the Picture that YAHWEH is continuing to Open The Door of His Righteous Judgment upon the children of Israel, namely Judah.  Yet, just as The Holy Spirit Shares with us via His Inspired Word to Peter, as Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:9-13 (ESV)/(emphasis added/jaj)....

"The Lord Is NOT slow to Fulfill His Promise as some count slowness, BUT Is Patient toward you/us, NOT wishing that any should perish, BUT that All Should Reach Repentance.  BUT The Day of The Lord Will Come like a thief, And Then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.
Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, What Sort of people Ought you/we be in Lives of Holiness and Godliness, Waiting for and Hastening The Coming of The Day of God, Because of Which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!  BUT According to His Promise we Are Waiting for New Heavens And A New Earth in Which Righteousness Dwells."....

I am so Very Thankful that The Lord has Alerted us, and Given us His Guidance on our Path during this time of Waiting for His Second Advent.  Much like the times that Ezekiel lived, our world is indeed still filled with darkness and man's inhumanity to man.  That does cause us pause, as well as sadness.  However I would Raise Up His Word of Hope to us, for in Him indeed is Our Promise Eternal.  May He Strengthen and Empower us as we Wait and Live for Him.
